Vista Ventana Motel — Hotel in Desert Hot Springs

What a joke. I was quoted $185 for the week and then was not given any change after paying $200. I already knew something was fishy after that but decided to stay anyway because I had already planned my life around being there for the week. i was also adamant upon checking in that there was no drug activity going on at the hotel. She assured me that there was no drug activity whatsoever, however a couple of days later admitted to me that she did know my neighbor was using drugs and even showed me his drug pipe that she had found whilst cleaning his room. She also later said well he "only" does 'black' (heroin) not white (meth) The place was advertised on Craigslist as a drug free zone but on my second night there one of the hotel guests brought crystal meth into my room and told me he was a dealer. I told him to please leave my room and felt very unsafe throughout the night as there was a lot of drug traffic in and out of his room . I packed my bags and left the next day because I didn't feel safe leaving my tv (yes I had to bring my own tv as there was not a tv in the room as advertised}, laptop and all my other personal items in my room while I was at work because I knew how easy it would have been for the drug dealer or any of his buddies to break into my room and steal my belongings. The owner and manager refused to give me a refund even though it was clearly advertised as a drug free zone.

The biggest blow was that Tammy the owner then tried to turn the situation around on me and implied that i was probably staying at the hotel to use drugs because that's what she used to do when she was younger???? What are you implying lady??

Talk about adding insult to injury....

This place really looks Funky and Awesome..!! I have not yet stayed at this rad hotel.. I really thought it was Apartments.. everything looks really thought out and Cozy, Lots of the furnishings look like a blast from the past..! I LOVE IT, all the Iconic styles you are adding together in separate rooms, and the weird round pool furnishings... I Just LOVE IT ..!! I would love to stay at this iconic, Retro , crazy and a hint of Psychedelic styles.. Owner ..!! You Rock..!!! Like I said I really would like to come and stay for the weekend and Yelp your Hotel ... let me know s great price and...

Our family stayed several days in celebrating the 4 of July. We enjoyed restaurants in the area. We also enjoyed the pool and fireworks from the courtyard and balconies at night.
