This Extended Stay location has been the single worst hotel stay of my life.
I attempted to stay in two rooms at the location and both had the same issues.
The staff is poorly trained and not quick to help guests. I had no landline in either room when I checked in and have had to call the front desk repeatedly from my cellphone with them not answering most of the times I call.
It took me over a week of asking for a land-line phone for my room (which should have been installed in the first place!) for them to finally get one at the front desk for me to then walk back to my room and install myself. On top of this, the phone jack was broken, so the phone didn't even work!
The bathtub plunger in both bathtubs did not stay down. I've already had the serviceman for the hotel come over and attempt to fix it once. Still no go.
Parking at the location is a nightmare. There simply aren't enough spots for all the guests and guests leaving their cards in awkward positions in the parking lot overnight blocks other guests in.
The laundry room is a disaster. Of 8 or so washing machines in the room, only 2 are working. Maintenence on them has really fallen unacceptably behind.
The desks at this location were poorly thought out when purchased. They have a drawer in the middle that digs into your stomach when sitting at the desk. I eventually had to just turn the desk completely around so I could work with being jabbed constantly in the stomach.
The first week of my stay also saw me sleeping on a bed with no fitted sheets. For the price I was paying for the stay, fitted sheets should, at minimum, be part of the housekeeping package.
Overall, this has been the worst Extended Stay in Miami that I've stayed in and the worst hotel that I've stayed in during all my years of travel. Do yourself a favor and book at a different Extended Stay property or just avoid this...
Read moreWORST HOTEL EVER!!!!! I have stayed at many hotels in my life and for me to say this was the worst hotel speaks volumes. When I got to the property I was met by a really nice lady at the front desk, she checked me in to room 165. When I got to the room the lights didnt work and there was a smell of dampness. As I looked around I noticed spider webs in the corners as if the room hadnt really been cleaned well. I went back to the front desk and asked for another room however, this time I spoke to a man and he questioned me at first of did I use the bathroom, did I sit on the beds. When I mentioned no to all his questions and then showed a picture of the spider webs thats when he was willing to change my room. This time I got room 266. Well upon entering the room it smelled like food as if someone had cooked curry or spicy food I dealt with the smell however, things just keep getting worse. When I went to shower the shower head was so filled with residue that the water pressure was not good at all took me 30 plus mins to shower. Also, the room had an iron board but no iron make that make sense!!! The pool area was either under construction or is just a garbage area cause the water that was in the pool was very dirty and the chairs were stacked up on each other. TBH this hotel didnt look like the Extended Stay Americas I have stayed in the past, this hotel looked like it was a condo or apartment building that was being used for an Extended Stay. I WILL NOT be staying at this location ever again even if they offer me a free night!!! I will say I stayed here because it was Art Basel weekend and I didnt want to pay tons of money for a room when I was only there for a short time. However, this was by far the waorst hotel I have been or seen...
Read moreThe rooms are not cleaned, they smell completely of cigarettes, the floor is not cleaned, the workers' bad attitude starting with the manager, a Mexican man (I put it in case there is more than 1 manager as a reference) without professionalism, without ethics, without respect even for his work that he dedicated himself to insulting my husband in the room, we were going to extend one more night and it is true that it took us a while to go down to the reception to pay because we are sleeping (it was the housekeeping and then the girl at the reception and We told them that we were going to go down to pay, on other occasions we had taken the same time but we always pay and we have never had a problem, but in the same way you have my registered card, that is, there is no way for me not to pay, the gentleman was to the room and told my husband that he did not have the right to be in the room because the room was registered in my name (it is not my responsibility that only an ID is required for the reservation) the other person has never had to register , in addition to telling him "either pay or you'll go to hell" as if we were criminals or trying to steal or something, with a mocking laugh as if to say I'm the manager and owner of here so I can do whatever I want , disgust was what such a character gave me, I do not understand how a person like that can have her as a manager in a place, when I went down to the reception and confronted him telling him that he had no right to speak like that, he said from now everyone in the room have to register, with tremendous arrogance, it really is sad to pay a hotel so that its workers mistreat you as if they were providing a...
