My experience with Comfort Inn would've been significantly better if not for some issues that made mine and my family's experience here rather uncomfortable. Let's start with the positives. Comfort Inn has incredible Customer Service, I'm honestly incredibly satisfied with how we were treated and how polite the staff was from the first day we set food inside till the day we checked out. The beds were great and incredibly comfortable and the rooms were nice and tidy every day after our return from whatever we were doing, huge thanks to the hard-working ladies of the Inn. Breakfast being a free service was also a blessing and the food was nice which I'm really happy about as a lot of the other places my family and I stayed before didn't provide us with any food, not even water to drink unless you purchased it, so It was really nice that we were not only treated so well by staff but also treated to some really nice food in the morning. The location is also incredibly convenient as it's incredibly close to Universal Studios, Seaworld and a lot of places to eat, shop and just enjoy the nightlife. The downsides, unfortunately, came from the bathrooms which in my opinion are due for a check-up. The shower water had little pressure and barely any water came from the showerhead, the water would also take a long time to heat up and often resulted in relatively cold showers, also the bathtub plug wouldn't hold itself in place and was impossible to take a bath in. I don't know if this was just my room or if anyone else had experienced this, but I also noticed that my room had a very strong stench of wet carpet. It was as if they hired a carpet cleaning service and they didn't dry the carpets properly because the smell was unfortunately very prominent. Overall, except for those two issues, Comfort Inn was honestly one of the better places we stayed at during our vacation and I would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable place to stay at a very good location.

I wish there was an option to give this ZERO stars. By far - the worst hotel I’ve ever been in. Listen to all the other poor reviews!! This “hotel” is falling apart and they aren’t keeping up with maintenance. They say in the comments they follow up but they don’t. There wouldn’t be that many issues! The only good thing is that this place is centrally located. Other than that run, far away. The exterior handle was falling off with a screw coming out and the interior side was turned 90 degrees. I was told by the front desk they’d come to tightened the screw which they did but the inside is fine and opens ok. Couldn’t shower my kids due to the mold in the shower as well as unknown mold behind the toilet. I was told that it wasn’t mold and just a stain they have to paint over. The guy came and sprayed and wiped it down. I asked for a room change first but they said everything was sold out. So they came to “fix” the room. Water never stopped leaking from the bathtub. Deadbolt Lock was loose and missing 2 screws. Previous occupants left a cup and shoe insert not cleaned up my house keeping and noted electoral tape covering the outlet. A lawsuit is waiting to happen. Attempted to use the blow dryer and saw the front looked like it had melted. When I turned it around it was missing the top to cover the fan blade. I very nicely brought all these findings to the front desk. A lawsuit is waiting to happen. You will get scalped or a finger amputated with the blow dryer. I was able to change room for my second night stay and it was better but still smelled musty, shower leaked and was only provided with one set of towels - you need to request more. They did not comp my first terrible night. 30% returned for the first night and still did not return the “resort” fee. This place is falling apart. Granite table top of the table by the elevator was sitting on the ground and panel inside the elevator leaning inside. Awful place. Stay away.

Disappointing Stay – Needs Serious Improvement This was my first stay at a Comfort Inn, and unfortunately, it did not meet expectations. Parking was a major challenge as the lot was completely packed. Upon check-in, the front desk associate was more engaged in a conversation about a basketball game on his earbuds than assisting guests, making little effort to interact with me beyond asking for my ID. Worse, my reservation request for two beds was ignored, and I was nearly checked into a king room instead. The property itself is in desperate need of a refresh. The elevator had a strong, unpleasant odor, and the hallway smelled musty. My room was no better—musty air, rusted fixtures, a broken closet door barely hanging on, a loose toilet bowl, stained carpets, and curtains. The TP holder was falling off the wall, and there was an unsettling crusty residue in the sink. The mattress felt worn, and my brother’s bed made loud noises anytime he moved. Thankfully, I bring my own bedding for peace of mind. Breakfast was chaotic and poorly managed. Items were empty, scrambled eggs were dried out, and trash bins were overflowing. Essential items like cups, butter, and syrup were missing, and when I asked, I was met with indifference from the morning front desk staff. Their excuse? The breakfast attendant had called out, and no one stepped in to help. It was clear that staff were more preoccupied with their phones or other tasks rather than ensuring guests had a decent experience. As someone with a background in hospitality, I know how critical guest experience is. Unfortunately, this property lacked basic upkeep, service, and attentiveness. I cannot recommend staying here unless significant improvements are made.

I chose this hotel based off the location on a flight and hotel bundle. The pictures are not what you truly get. The lobby furniture is now old and stained. The receptionist who check me in was a woman who was actually very nice. Beware, it’s an old hotel that they tried to do a quick facelift on. The smell of mildew, mold, something wet is present. I’m highly allergic to mold and have an epi pen. Unfortunately I can’t find anywhere else to stay close by! I am so glad I brought Benadryl. My child and I arrived later in the evening for check in after flying in. The mattresses in the room do not fit the frame. The mattress tipped on my bed and my childs’ bed. 135 pound teen and I’m 185. Queen beds. Don’t sit on the edge of the bed. I rolled over in the middle of the night and the bed tipped off the frame! The beds are old, springs can be felt, and hard. I also noticed the frame sticking out which is so not safe. I took a picture. The carpet is stained. The refrigerator is so loud.

The second day we left early and housekeeping came and did make our beds and add towels. I didn’t think the check the sheets the first night because we were so tired from traveling. After coming back late the second evening I heard another customer at the front desk speaking to the male receptionist. They were not happy. They mentioned dirty sheets, bathroom dirty, gross room, not like the picture online, etc. they wanted the manager but no manager on duty. I don’t believe male receptionist was doing so great at de-escalating the situation either.

I honestly agreed with the customer but again very late 11pm arrival the second night. I went up to my room and started having another allergic reaction to mold and took Benadryl. Checked my sheets and yup, stained. Gross. I still have 2 more nights left….honestly I have never given a review like this. I wish I stayed somewhere else…..

Pictures below are the bed frame sticking out. Both queen beds had this issue, the stained carpet in front of the night stand and fridge, stained sheets. I really hope they are clean sheets….

Update: we ended up leaving the hotel on the 3rd day of our stay. Due to the mold and severe allergic reaction and quality of the rooms we no longer felt it was safe or comfortable.

On the 3rd day we had an obligation to be at before 8:30am. We arrived back at the hotel to nap and were unable to do so because of the condition of the beds and the hotel is under construction on floor 6. Power drills etc. We were in room 604. Housekeeping came to change the sheets and I showed the beds and how unsafe and stable they were. They did not speak English so I have no idea what they were saying. A construction worker came to look at the bed as well and they did not speak English either. Even through a language barrier they manage to say “refund”.

I went to the front desk and she was very nice and offered room 614 to look at. The beds were in better condition but the bathroom was not and had a pencil width stream running out of the facet.

I requested a refund for all 4 nights but since it’s through a 3rd party they had to put in the request. I requested a refund for the 2 nights due to the sheets, bed quality, and mold; and for the 2 nights we were not staying. I also requested a refund of the $51.80 I paid the hotel upon arrival. I received back $25.90 from the hotel. The third party received a refund for $191.98 for two nights. The hotel was charging $119.00 a night through their website. I do not know what they were charging a night through the third party.

I added pictures of our bed in room 604 and the bathtub quality of room 614 that was offered. Also the door of room 614 was damaged like it had been broke into before by the locks. The door did not...

Quality Inn & Suites Pensacola Bayview 7601 Scenic Highway, Pensacola, FL, 32504

I arrived at the hotel where I had made a reservation with Choice Hotels using my points. The clerk asked for my ID and credit card and told me she would be charging a $100 deposit which might stay on my credit card for 3 or 4 days. I asked her what the deposit was for and she said incidentals. I told her I would be leaving by about 7am so wouldn't need any "incidentals" and you have my credit card number? I thought for a minute then told her to just return my points and I would find another hotel. She said they wouldn't return the points. I said ok then you can charge the deposit to my credit card because I'm not going to allow you to take my points. She then told me the manager won't allow you to stay here. I said WHAT?? I said, I just told you I'm willing to let you charge the deposit, because you won't return the points. She said, the manager won't let you stay and we're not returning the points. She said call Choice Hotels where you made the reservation.

Every time you call Choice you get a call center in the Philippines where no one you speak with can make any decisions about anything but making reservations and they always tell you if you ask for a manager, that they are the manager. I walked back to my car and called Choice and as is their custom was put on hold (which can last 10 or 15 minutes or more). I decided I might as well continue driving towards my next destination. Finally about 5 minutes later someone answered and I told them I needed my points refunded from my last reservation because the hotel wouldn't let me stay there and wouldn't refund my points. She told me she couldn't refund my points. (This whole episode was becoming UNBELIEVABLE and I couldn't understand how a business could be so incompetent and only had people working for them who must have been trained to say "we can't" "we don't" or "there's no one here to help"?) So I told her to connect me with someone who could refund my points as I told her the story of what had just happened. She said that was terrible and I told her it's not only terrible it's robbery and told her I was going to continue driving to another hotel and would need the points back so I could make a reservation at another of their hotels. I also told her not to hang up on me until someone came on the line because I had already been on hold for way too long. After another interminably long wait, someone else came on the line and I told them I needed a manager or to speak with someone in the US who could help me. She said their was no manager but she would be able to help me and there was no one she could transfer me to in the US. So, once again, I told my story only because I had no other choice (and this is all with "Choice" Hotels??)

I was explaining that it was my choice to choose another hotel, or to pay the deposit if they weren't giving my points back. So I don't see how they could choose to not let me stay especially at nearly 1AM. Now it was approaching 2AM and they still hadn't returned the points so I could make a new reservation. I told the lady I wasn't going to hang up until she returned the points and made a reservation somewhere close to where I was driving and explained how late it was where I was and that I was getting very tired and was exhausted from all this horrible...

BOOK AT YOUR OWN RISK. OUTDATED HOTEL. Booked for 12-26/27-24.. If you like to feel dirty and sleep near filth this hotel is just for you especially room 402 and 401. I’m not a person that rights bad reviews but we had a bad experience. Booked a king room with couch, 1st room they put us in we opened the door and it completely smelled like smoke, the couch had no mattress in it so therefore you couldn’t even sit on the couch, pulled the sheets back and found bugs and hair, bathroom had mold all around the tub. Called downstairs and they said we can get another room. 2nd room was hot AC not on, turned the thermostat on started blinking low battery, waited 10 minutes then showed error. Called downstairs they said we will get maintenance up to the room. Meanwhile went to the bathroom and there was sugar ants crawling on the wall 🤦🏽‍♀️. Maintenance came in he was very nice, looked at the thermostat he said I looked and looked for batteries but the manager did not order any batteries and there was no batteries anywhere, there is nothing I can do except for you to ask for another room because the AC is not going to work without the batteries. At which time we had a knock on the door was the AC man, he looked at the AC unit messed with it and the unit front piece fell from the wall. Talked to the manager advised him of everything that was going on he acted like the couch and AC was no big deal and said what do you need me to do your already getting a discount for going through your Farm Bureau to get a discount. He said you want 20 or 30% more off your stay, I said 30% seems fair, if the 3rd room is not acceptable we are changing hotels. So our 3rd room was cleaner and manageable to stay in. Checked out and my bill did not show 30% off total nights stay. 😳 front desk said there was nothing she could do because she was not management and they would be back Monday. During getting my print out I over heard other people in line to get breakfast that they would not be booking this place again due to it not being cleaned. At least I was not the only one. I’m only giving this hotel a 1 because the 3rd room was a bit better, location is great, service of maintenance and Sparkle at the front desk was very nice...
