Rodeway Inn — Hotel in Emporia

Me and my husband stayed here for 7 days. The hot water is not hot. I could take a shower full blast on hot and it is barely warm. When I ask the owner why don’t we have hot water he says let me go check and he goes to a sink in the breakfast area and says it’s hot, I tell him it’s warm not hot so he gets into my face Bobbing his head back and forth saying it’s hot water. If they don’t have hot water wonder how they get there towels and sheets clean( a lot of bleach in cold water) Their breakfast is a joke, you get 4 different kinds of cereal. They have pictures showing biscuits and gravy but there is nothing like that. Parking lot is a joke. It was packed not enough parking spaces. The last day we stayed we came back at night and they key didn’t work and it took us around 30 min to get help because the owner was in a room and couldn’t hear the bell or me calling there phone. If your curtain is open the owner likes to walk by and look in. The tv had a line from one side to the other on the screen. It says they have direct tv but our room only had online live tv. Will not stay here again. Never been so disrespected by an owner after giving them a weeks worth of cash. Sometimes you get what you paid for and in this case it is...

My smoke detector started beeping at me not long after checking in, so I told the front desk and all they did was remove the detector, leaving me without any coverage in my room. When I took a shower the water never got above slightly warm. If you have to have a dark room to sleep in, good luck. There was a bright light outside my room on all night and the curtains weren't large enough to keep it out, so I had to deal with an outline of the light all night. Honestly, if those were my only issues I wouldn't have even left a review. You don't expect perfection for the price you're spending for this place. But on top of all that, at 10 pm someone opened my door. Thankfully I had the extra lock in place, so they weren't able to open it all the way, but someone else had a card to my room. I knew it was a lady bc she said "sorry, my mistake" and left when the door didn't open all the way. When I told the front desk about it in the morning they said no female employees were on the clock at that time. I didn't even get an apology when I told them...

My boyfriend well ex boyfriend stayed there and the place looks amazing inside and out.. the only problem that I see is that the front office is picking at him only bc I think that he has a lot of traffic.. ummmm just so the people know In the front office .. he's going through a break up and there's going to be people coming in and out including myself bc we are trying to work on things and to ck up on him.. but I don't believe it's going to happen... With that being said he has paid to stay there why give him a hard time? .. he's already having a hard time bc I gave it to him .. ok that's it I just thought I would put my two cents in.. but with all that being said I love staying there .. I have came to this hotel bc it had changed and cleaned up nicely... Thanks for all u have done to this place... I will be coming back if I ever needed a place to stay your nice people .. but u guys judging a person bc of there color also just saying.. and u can't say I'm wrong.. I did rate u 5 stars bc other then picking on him u guys deserve the...
