We absolutely loved our first stay on Cape Cod and Beach Breeze was the icing on the cake! Instead of a hotel it was more like we were a guest at someone’s cozy home. Hotel is just a few yards away from the beach and the area was quiet and pleasant. We stayed in the Falmouth suite, perfect with 2 rooms (1with a bunk bed). I have a bit of “princess and the pea” syndrome when traveling but the mattress and pillows here were very comfortable. Staff were super friendly and professional. A special shout out to Jen at the front desk for always greeting us with a big cheery smile each morning and giving lots of info on the area. We will definitely be back!

Not sure how you'd beat this if I'm honest. Steps from the beach and downtown, if location were the only measure Beach Breeze is perfect, but the service was the differentiator. Roz, Kristen, and team were phenomenal. Genuine hospitality is the order of the day, and they are really the bees knees! Don't think about it....hit "Book", and get the kids in the car. Time's a'wastin'.

Stately house just yards from the ocean while still convenient to Main Street. Rooms are nicely furnished and air conditioned (important during the record-setting heat wave we happened to catch). Round-the-clock excellent coffee and tea service in the ground floor kitchen make up for lack in the rooms.

As a lifelong Cape Cod vacationer, & a ten time runner of the Falmouth Road Race, I’ve run past the Beach Breeze Inn & was impressed by it’s festive appearance, and cheering guests. We’ve previously wanted to stay there but, through no one’s fault but our own, never attempted to reserve a room in time to find a vacancy. After an earlier Cape stay we decided to return to Falmouth & were able to book a room.

What a disappointment!

The Positives:The BBI is close to the beach, on a very well maintained property. It’s quaint, clean & staffed with an exceedingly friendly, capable & helpful staff. Our experience with our room more than canceled out the positives.

I made our reservation by phone, & the room I was placed in is their “Studio” (room W-1 to be exact) Our room included two full sized beds, and a “kitchenette” with microwave, toaster oven, fridge, and it was amply supplied with utensils. Our room was almost cell like as far as space. Cramped would be an understatement. There’s no closet, no table to sit at, or even a single chair to sit ON. There was barely room for our luggage. If you used the kitchenette, you either need to eat standing, or sit on a bed.

The clean bathroom, was renovated with custom tile & had a roomy walk in shower. Amenities? You're given two thumb sized “bars” of soap, & a tube of shampoo. That’s IT! None of the toiletries youd get from even a cheap roadside motel. ”

Our room had an “in wall” A/C. We had some very humid weather and the a/c didn’t function properly during those times. Our room was like a steam bath and it was impossible to sleep comfortably as a result. When the weather was less humid, it worked but, we really didn’t need the A/C then. What was most surprising is, on the humid days, we left the a/c on when we weren’t in the room, not only to hope it “cooled off” but to hopefully rid the room of the musty smell. When we returned, housekeeping had shut off the A/C and opened the windows. Amazing!

Yes, the location was poolside—translation? NOISEY and so close to the pool that when you’re standing outside your entrance, you can literally touch the people sitting on a chaise next to the fence. Toss in the the fact that the kitchenette lights didn’t work (no, there wasn’t a dimmer that we overlooked) and we did something we’ve never done before in our life, leave a day early. We’d had enough.

When we turned in the keys, we explained to the surprised innkeeper why we were leaving. He was polite, but indifferent. He outlined they make no pretenses as to room size, which is true, but they also aren’t transparent. When I booked by phone, I expressed some reservation about the “full sized” beds being adequate for two adults, and was told they’d be fine. To be fair, we did express dissatisfaction with room size to the manager at check in. She did offer us the option to move to another room that was due to open up later in our stay but, that room included a full sized bed and bunks. A bunk wouldn’t have suited our needs. When we declined, the manager kiddingly stated “you’re going to get to know each other very well during your stay!”

Upon arriving home, we looked at some of the negative reviews and most are totally on par with what we stated. What was really disheartening was the responses from the owners to those reviews. They were defensive, and never seemed to acknowledge the reviewers’ statements as valid. When you get repeated negative reviews for the same grievances, they should be viewed as legitimate, constructive, and not disregarded as unimportant. Nor should your visitors be lectured to with excuses. They should do right by their guests. Do yourself a favor…READ THOSE NEGATIVE REVIEWS

The BBI is a place with TREMENDOUS potential that, for a variety of reasons fell way short with us. We aren’t nitpickers but, for a room with a base rate of $325 per night, we expected MUCH more, a comfortable...

Inn has been sold......beware.....

I tend to not write negative reviews. I'd prefer to give people the benefit of the doubt, or go directly to the business. I did both of these things but to no avail. I feel the need to give people a heads up as the Inn has changed hands this season . We stayed here maybe 10 years ago, and had a nice time. My in laws were in the area last July, stayed here for a few nights and enjoyed their time overall. They bought us a gift card for the Inn, aware that it was being sold but were told the gift card would be honored if need be. We tried to use the gift card before the sale but there was no availability that worked. We were told via email that the new owners would honor the gift cards. That it was part of the sale agreement. So when booking opened, I went to book a few nights. But wanted to know how to process the gift card so I contacted the inn. The manager responded that she would check with the owners, but to go ahead and book. I said I'd wait to make sure about the gift card as I got a funny feeling. She eventually came back and said the new owners would not be honoring the gift card. Bear in mind, they had no idea how much the gift card was for. For the record it wasn't even going to cover a third of our planned stay. I responded that this was very unprofessional and sent them the email from the previous owner explaining that the new owners would have to honor gift cards as part of the sale agreement. As someone who works directly with customers, I just couldn't believe this was how things were handled. The whole interaction felt icky. Horrendous customer service. I need to look into small claims court proceedings next. They have not responded to my email showing the previous owner's explanation of gift cards having to be honored. It's part of the sale agreement and makes sense. They surely would have responded saying otherwise if that was...

Absolutely amazingg! I could use all 200+ characters on how perfect Kristen was! From booking the trip to our stay to the second we left, she was spot on perfect! This place is absolutely gorgeous! The porch is the perfect place to enjoy the weather, morning coffee (supplied by the beach breeze, delicious!) and the perfect view to the corn hole they have on the front lawn! The pool is in the back/side area with lawn chairs to relax and supplied towels! The beach is a minute walk to have some time away, but you don’t even need to leave the beach breeze it’s so perfect!|Once again the staff is amazingggg!! I seriously cannot say enough about how perfect they all were! Anything we needed they were more than happy to supply! During our grille day it started to rain, and Kristen ran out with an umbrella for him!!!! Like what?!?!? Never seen someone more thoughtful and generous! Our party all sat there and was like wow he’s grilling in this and Kristen comes to the rescue again!! Just amazing us with her hospitality!! |They all recommended so many great food places, Barking Claw for amazing lobster rolls (definitely try the spicy one) and Eli’s Tavern that accommodated our group of 16! Thank you Kristen, James and Roslyn for the most perfect weekend!|Our crazy family friend group came to celebrate my mums 50th and they couldn’t have been better with helping us decorate the room, making sure coffee was always hot, and being the friendliest people every time we walked in! 10000000/10 recommend this place! Thank you to the beach breeze and everyone there for the PERFECTTTT birthday weekend for my mum! We loved every second, and didn’t want to leave! We will definitely see you...
