Okay so after like 1 day I stayed there the morning we were supposed to check out at 11:00 and when we were cleaning we found cockroachs and when I was about to cook my food a flipping COCKROACH came out of the microwave that is there although the TV worked it was cracked and every time we would go on a app or turn the TV on we would CONSTANTLY connect to the network it was so annoying also it was so Creepy when I tell u creepy I'm saying CREEPY me and my sister we where both staying there bc we where gonna go bowling and the rest of the family stayed at a different hotel man I wish I would've went with them now but anyway back to the creepy part we where coming back to the 3rd floor bc we just came from the store speedway and we where walking back up the stairs and we get on the third floor and we don't even see till we fully get on the stairs BTW it smells absolut poop and definitely weed and cigarettes anyeay when we got on the third floor this man comes out of his room he looks like he's in his 30's or 40's but he comes out of the room looks both ways of the hallway comes out and then he sees us and literally death stairs is and he doesn't stop till we get in our room so we locked the door later on in the night when almost everyone in the apartment where sleeping there was knocking on the door and then it stopped after 5-10 mins and I fell back to sleep didn't think nothing of it till the next day I woke up there was a card on the floor i turned it into the people downstairs that own it and I think it belonged to the person that tried to get in NEVER stay here BTW IF YOU DON'T WANNA BRING HOME COCKROACHS THEN...
Read moreI stayed here through a very difficult week, and this place was one of the few good things during that time. I met the owner, Rahul, and talked to him a few times...at first, I thought he was the 'night manager,' but no, he just works a lot of evenings, which is nice considering that that lets him be the one to check a lot of of guests in and be available to address concerns.
The room was immaculate, no issues at all, except that the power button on the TV remote didn't work. Fluffy pillows, comfortable bed, quiet room (I could hear if people were talking loudly in the hall, but didn't hear any noise from other rooms unless I was in the hall myself). I love that they have easy-to-clean hard floors...I could walk around in white socks and not not have the soles turn black, like what happens in carpeted hotel rooms costing twice as much. There weren't some of the amenities of a more expensive hotel (no coffee maker or hair dryer...which I barely noticed since I'm bald and get coffee with breakfast when I go out), but I personally don't think it's worth paying extra for those. This place had everything I needed, nothing I didn't, and a price that I could afford.
One recommendation if you stay here...come in through the Fox St. entrance. My Google Maps brought me in down Broad Ave to Madison Ave, and there were a lot of potholes on that stretch of Madison (which looks like part of a parking lot). Until those get fixed (I don't know if that falls on the city or the businesses on that part of the road before it gets to Red Roof Inn), I would recommend avoiding that...
Read moreWe needed a place to stay that was reasonable pricewise. We had a King bed room and we had our small well behaved dog with us. This was one of two hotels that allowed pets. This was one of the main decisions in staying at this hotel. When we entered the building it smelled so strongly of cigarette smoke that it felt as though we had an old dirty ashtray shoved in our faces. The room was not much better. It was not very clean. I unfolded the luggage rack and dog hair was on it along with stains from who knows what. The upholstered chair in the room also had stains all over it. I wore my shoes in the room because the floor was dirty too. The room up above us in the hotel was noisy and partying all night long. Even people who pulled into the parking lot were yelling at them to be quiet. I have never had such a disgusting and horrible experience ever in my life staying at any hotel. When we checked out the next morning I expressed our displeasure to the man at the front desk and he would not even make eye contact with me or apologize for any of it. lesson learned, I will never set foot at a Red Roof Inn ever again! If Google had a zero star rating, that's what I would have given this place. We checked out and checked into The Drury Inn and Suites which felt like the Grand Hilton for not much more money. Believe me it was well worth the...
