Marriott Ranch Trail Rides — Hotel in Front Royal

I had the most unprofessional experience with the owner, I only wish there was a way to leave less than one star! My husband drove nearly five hours the night before so we could go on a beautiful fall private trail ride in the morning. I woke up feeling under the weather, but knew it was too late to cancel. I pushed on, but as soon as I mounted the horse, I felt a wave of nausea and threw up. We didn’t even make it one step on our ride! Our poor guide was incredibly kind and empathetic and my husband apologized profusely and asked if we could reschedule. I then got a rude and accusatory email from the owner advising I wasted their time, it was all my fault, and in asking to reschedule I was seeking a “free ride”. After spending over $200, we weren’t asking for a “free” anything and we never mentioned a refund. I was appalled at her callous and indignant tone! Do yourselves a favor and choose one of the many other incredible places to experience a Virginia equestrian...

I am the Marketing Director for two Chick-fil-A's in Arlington, VA and my Operator wanted to take our restaurant Leaders on a different type of bonding trip!

Our trail ride with the The Natural Connection was truly incredible. Our trip was just this past Sunday and our Team is still talking about it! A few of us had never ridden a horse while some of us had a lot of experience. It was great coming away from this trip with information on horses and how we can take the concept of approaching and interacting with a horse and apply it in our everyday lives, especially for people-focused businesses.

Any group, organization, or business thinking of doing something like this for your Team, like Nike says, "just do it"! It was a great experience and we are hoping to do it again when it gets warmer!

Ms. Jean is one of the best humans I have ever encountered. She is extremely personable and makes the trail rides very unique. Her sense of humor, equestrian expertise, and calmness all contributed to a very enjoyable trail ride. I worked with her to setup a proposal ride and I couldn’t have been more impressed with her communication before the event, her organization day of, and how accommodating she was. I changed the time of the ride 3 different times and she was very easy to work with. The proposal went very well and Ms. Jean was a integral part of that. The property is beautiful and the horses are well cared for. I hadn’t ridden a horse in over 10 years and it was easy to grasp it again thanks to Ms. Jean’s memorable instructions and my horse being very docile. I would highly recommend her trail...
