I stayed at this establishment for the last month giving them over $2,000. There were a few incidents but nothing major. One was when i was when I left the room in the morning before checkout to go get breakfast and came back before checkout to find all my belongings gone. Room service had already been there taken my belongings and dispersed my things amongst the other room service workers and whatever they didn't like or want went in the dumpster with which they had to retrieve. The nice woman with the curly hair at the front desk made sure I got my property back. At least the things I could remember. I realized later there were other things that I didn't get back, but being that all my things were gone, I couldn't remember every single thing that was missing at the time and it wasn't her fault. She did a great job at retrieving what I could remember I did not have. My issue is with a particular man that works one night in week named Steve. He called the police on me one evening after several weeks of dealing with him and his rude behavior. Every time I came to the desk to get my key at night to be let in my room he treated me as if I did not belong there even though I had been staying there for several weeks. I would wake up in the morning leave for work come back and have my key recoded so I can get into my room and every time it was an issue. Lots of rude comments, odd behavior. I felt like maybe he wasn't exactly right if you know what I mean. I should have paid attention and probably not stayed there anymore because he made me uncomfortable. One afternoon I had to use the bathroom very badly and he took his sweet time to getting me my key. He didn't believe that I had a room and I reminded him that he said the same thing last week. I went upstairs to get into my room. The key didn't work. I came back down. Asked him if I can please use a bathroom downstairs. It was an emergency and he said no. It's for paying patrons only. He knew I was a paying patron. I had to show him my ID again. He smirked and took his time. I came in last week to get my key then he started commenting on my sobriety. I said because you work on my night off and it's none of your business if I'm sober or not. I just want my key. He made a bunch of snide comments and I responded every time I come in here you are rude as hell to me and I don't know what your problem is. I told him I pay cash everyday and I don't deserve to be treated like that and quite frankly the way he looks and how fidgety he is he acts like he's on something himself. I got in the elevator and went up. Planned to not stay the next week. Went to sleep. I woke up to banging on the door. Answerd the door, which I should not have done, he told me to get my things and leave. I told him it's 3:00 in the morning. I'm not going anywhere. He told me that he was calling the police and he would have me removed from the premises. I hadnt done anything to him except some said something he didn't like after dealing with his rude commentary for weeks. I went downstairs to go get something out of my car. The police were there and he said "oh there she is" and I spoke to the police officers. They told me he had said that I was harassing the fellow hotel guests and that I had stayed 25 days and was out of something called "vouchers" and I needed to leave. I told the police I don't know what vouchers are. I pay money every night and they explained to me that homeless people are given vouchers so they can live there for free. I've never had a conversation, much less a run-in with anybody else that resides there. I paid a lot of money to stay there every night and I didn't have to. I just liked going to the same place. It's not the best place.Apparently Steve told management I called the police on him. I would not call police on somebody who simply said something that I didn't like. I just wouldn't come back. Weird. Everybody else who works there is very...
Read moreTwo words: Disgusting and Disturbing. heed my warning people -- DO NOT COME HERE. This is NOT the extended stay america you would expect. Unless you want a bed full of menstrual BLOOD.
I'm scarred for life after my visit to this place. First and foremost. I was given the wrong room right off the bat, and the room they gave me hadnt been cleaned. How did I know? Well the first thing I noticed when I walked in was the foul odor. Then the bed wasnt made and so to my dismay I go over and lift the blanket to get in and what do I see? Blood! I was like what in the world? I pull the covers off even more and there it was. A HUGE puddle of blood covered by towels and a disgusting smell, this was menstrual blood no doubt. I don't know if some women did this on purpose or forgot it was that time of the month or had some kind of heavy flow OR WHAT. But it was disgusting and disturbing and ill never forget the sight and smell it was like rotten sour fish. I should have taken a picture and pursued legal action to be honest because Im not kidding when I say I'm scarred for life.
Then to make matters worse when I went to tell the front desk, I was given attitude by "Kathy" who to me seemed like she hated her life having to work on xmas eve. As bitter an old lady as any. But she was not consoling me at all. She was cold and rude and she seemed upset with me that I would even bring it up! Like, I had to be the one to ask for a different room..seriously? It should have been the first thing she brought up and she should have comped me the night in my opinion burlt instead all she did was give me crap, and an attitude and snarky comments about making sure my very well behaved and trained dog didn't pee in the building. As if this was somehow my fault. The next room I got was on the third floor and once again, had a foul odor, the bed was terribly uncomfortable and the heater/a.c. barely worked. Oh and there was a rubbermaid full of trash and dirty pots and pans in front of my new room.. And the side entrance didn't work was out of order and had trash bags at the bottom of the stairwell.
Extended Stay needs to take their name off this building and let the managers call it what it really is "Stinky Blood Inn".
Overall -- heed my warning people -- DO NOT COME HERE. This place is haunted by terrible management, poor upkeep and disgusting smells and attitudes. They need to hire all new people who actually do their jobs, and hire more people I think it was only one person taking care of the entire building. Despicable.
Edit: Some guy Matthew Knepper referred to my review in his review and I wanted to address his statements. First off, im a guy. Secondly, I made no mention of pot in my review and third, I'm not a disgruntled employee. The place is disgusting and creepy and unkempt and anyone who goes there will notice that right away.
He also somehow thinks that I knew the room sas dirty or something but tried to get in bed anyway? No, what I said was that I found out the room hadnt been cleaned when I found the blood. It...
Read morewhen i arrive to check in there was no front desk , i waited 20 minutes to be checked in , then i realized the front desk lady was in a room with her niece handling her personal issues ? which i disregarded because i just wanted my room , i get to my room and i hear multiple people yelling in another room which was very scary and unprofessional for the hotel to allow anyone to check in. i unfortunately had to go back to the main office because i had i question , where again the front desk was left unattended , multiple workers passed my path yet nun assure me that they will be with me. the day of check out i checked out at the front desk and guess what? no one was at the front desk unfortunately when i left i had left a bag of souvenirs for my family in my hotel room and i called numerous times with no answer , finally when i did reach someone i was told that they needed to speak to the cleaning team as if they don’t communicate if things were left in a room? but i agreed and we need to call in the morning so i did and after countless phone calls again someone finally picked up , i was then told that they still didn’t communicate to the cleaning team about my bag and stated he could not talk to them because he did not speak spanish , i told him thats fine let me ask them , i spoke to the cleaning lady and she got very aggressive and assume i was calling her a thief when i was politely asking if they had found my bag , because i would have like for it to be shipped to me and i would pay the expenses and time . the cleaning lady then hung up on me and i had to call back again and of course after countless calls someone finally picked up just to tell me that they have not received anything and that they will call me back if they do. this has been going on for 3 days does it take you 3 days to clean a room. if so that tells you alot about this hotel i am still trying to reach someone on there “24 hour phone service” that they avertise and unfortunately i don’t believe i will get my stuff back , i ended up calling from my company phone and the phone finally answered so its great to know that they were ignoring my phone calls , this hotel are all liars and thiefs but i learned my lesson , you get what you paid for. Will not recommend this place due to their lack of unprofessionalism and communication and least to say the place was not safe at all the gate was broken and never fixed...
