Look when you’re on the road and need to rest overnight you want a safe, clean and reasonably price hotel to get cleaned up and sleep in. With that said I took my time to find a room from a trusted hotel chain. A chain that is 3 stars usually and I have stayed with in different locations. The location was sketchy with a back alley and a boarded up dilapidated restaurant in front. Because I was moving across the country, I had a car full of boxes and things. The first room on the 2nd floor that I was assigned to was on the back alley side I did not feel comfortable leaving my car in the back alley with all my livelihood in it with people setting in their car and a woman leaning into the passenger side for 10-15 min. So I went back to the front desk and asked for a room closer to the front where they had more lighting and I could see my car out my window. I was accommodated and went to the second room assigned to me which was now on the first floor. (Btw: there are no elevators only stairs.) I was able to see the car but like I said there is a broken down, boarded up restaurant in the front. They did not have a remote control in the room so I had to go back to the front to get a new remote control for the TV. After I did that, I wanted to use the restroom and take a shower, but when I got there, it was filthy the towels had lipstick and debris on them. The toilet had poo on the inside and underneath the lid the tub was dirty. Of course, I took pictures and took it back to the front where I asked for another room. I was given a room next to the one I was just in and had the same result. So for the fourth time, I went back to the front desk and I asked if two different people cleaned for upstairs and downstairs and was told yes so I requested a room on the second floor because the original room was clean. I was given a room on the second floor and it was clean. The TV did a weird thing where I kept turning off, but I was comfortable enough to sleep and shower. I was able to see my car from the other side of the pool. (Which was under construction) I would not recommend. I spoke with the management the next morning and they did accommodate me by refunding 10% of my bill.

BEWARE! I used to stay at this hotel almost monthly for an overnight business trip. I know it is not a 5 star hotel. Hotel was located near where I was conducting business. I was ok with the chipped paint in the rooms, practically non-existent breakfast, and pool that has looked like a storage area for at least a year. Cosmetics subpar but it looked clean. I always sprayed my room with Lysol just in case. The rooms and pool do not look like the pictures. On my last (and final) visit, as soon as I opened the door I noticed my room had an industrial floor dryer in it. It was late and I was only in the room to sleep so I ignored it. I woke up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom to find the carpet was wet and the floor in the bathroom was wet. I later discovered the bathroom mirror was broken-not just cracked. The hair dryer had ??? on it. Face towel was stained. The tub was leaking water (before I showered). I wore shower shoes, used my own towel & took a shower and checked out. I spent about 12 hours in the room-most of it asleep. I spoke to cooperate and the hotel manager and got the typical "we're sorry about your experience". Update 1 yr later: I booked hotel on travel website thinking it was the other La Quinta about 1 mile away. By the time I realized it, it was too late. Room looked clean except hole in closet door. Tub is discolored and cleanliness is questionable. TV would not come on. I called front desk from room phone & cell phone, no answer. I walk downstairs (no elevators in the building) to front desk. She tells me to bring the remote back down to front desk. Lady checking in for the night told front desk that was poor customer service. Not to mention I'm recovering from knee surgery and an extra trip up & down stairs was not in my plans. So I'll spend the night with no TV & my cell phone. I refuse to use the shower. Just shut this place down already or remove from travel sites.

Do not stay here! This La Quinta is terrible! I stayed here because it was close to the airport and close to the Murat where I was attending my graduation ceremony at American College of Education. I live in South Carolina and didn't have an idea of the area. Upon check in, the room we were given had a smashed door. It didn't open on green, it opened on red. Ok, weird. After pulling off the top blanket, there was a stain that appeared to be blood. The pillows had prickly things. After showering, the water didn't drain. I went down and talked to the receptionist, and she didn't care at all about the stain. She did give me two new pillows, which didn't help me feel better. I had dress clothes to hang and there wasn't even a bar in my closet for clothes to hang so I had to use the outer lip to keep them up. We had to leave early for the ceremony, and at 7:30 the breakfast was not filled. There was one boiled egg, and one bagel in a pile of white bread. After my ceremony, we went out and celebrated with family so we got back in the early evening. We were invited to stay elsewhere to get out of there, and we left at 7 pm. Upon checking out and telling a different employee all of my concerns and why we were checking out a day early, he said a manager would call me. He never did. I called back again the next week, and was again told the manager would call me. It's been two weeks and he never did. I contacted Wyndham because they own La Quinta, and they said since I booked my stay through Expedia they couldn't see my stay. Funny, how does the hotel know I was there then? I will never stay in another LaQuinta, and I will avoid Wyndham as well. This is a very poorly rundown MOTEL. Management does not seem to care about it's guests, and Wyndham doesn't care either. Wash your comforters. Fix your shower. Hang a rod in the closet. And most of all, have customer service skills. Return a phone call...

I've stayed in a lot of motel/hotels this last 7 or 8 months since my 23 year old son was brutality murdered in his home he had the doorbell ring and what I seen and heard is unimaginable. I lost my home and everything due to his horrific death. No one wants to rent during this COVID-19 pandemic. So therefore I've had to spend many nights in places I wish I hadn't and some that was very inviting. I must say I am not very familiar with the westside of Indianapolis, but I've over heard the hotels here by the airport were run down & the guest that occupied them were out of control some months ago. But they are remodeling The La Quinta and it's under construction. It appears there updating everything. So far it's been quiet here when the workers aren't listening to there loud music or working. On the bright side nobody's outside yelling or meeting people in the parking lot. The beds are very comfy and the sheets & bedding is very clean and white not all stained up. The room was clean and everything looks to be new. They have new clean white washcloths and towels. There's a 50 in tv, small microwave and mini fridge, a single cup coffee maker, iron & ironing board, blow-dryer in the room. Only problem I had was the shower curtain is to short & the fabric seems to cling to you every move you make, where it's to short it leaves enough open space for water to get all over the floor. The stopper on the tub didn't work. That's the only problem I seem to have had with the room. It's well lite in the room the mirrors are nice and big.The toilet seat needed changed it looked to have old cigarette burns on the top and the bolts holding it down aren't capped and it's cracked. Whatever construction company they have doing there contractor work seems to be a bit lazy and under trained. Being a contractors daughter and working in the business with nothing but contractors half my life it's hard not to notice the lazy mistakes left behind. Like leaving the screw out of the facet on the tub leaving it loose, pencil markings on the woodwork where there cut mark was supposed to be, halfway puttying the holes in the walls & door left every spot after being painted over, very noticeable when it should look like nothing ever happened. And their paint job lol they left big runs and drips in the paint plus brush and roll marks everywhere, leaving it very noticable to the eye.I'd be really upset if I were the owners. One thing my fiance and I were upset about the pool not being open, they serve no hot breakfast, the laundry facility on site is not available noir working, no exercise facility available and it says on the website they accommodate all of this. Yet we still are paying full price for the rooms, without any of the promised amenities. We over heard another guest who was checking out earlier then she planned saying that there tip, was they should put it on website that they are under construction and nothing they say they accommodate the guest with is available. And with that being side I agree. Over all the room was inviting and comfy if you can over look the...

This place was a huge disappointment. Please read the reviews before booking.

First you pull up and are greeted with unkempt landscaping and a parking lot in dire need of maintenance. The lobby was okay, we get our room key and are told the closest entrance is at the back of the building. That door would be door "D" good thing it wasn't door "C" which was boarded up at the time and looks like it has been like that for a while. We get inside and are hit with a overwhelming scent of urine/other so not great. We go up the carpeted steps that haven't been shampooed probably ever. We get through the door and the first sight is a ice machine that should be condemned, basically covered in filth not sure if it worked and was not willing to find out.

Now to the room. We did not trust that this room was cleaned. Sure the sheets were changed (maybe) but they had burn marks and stains. Nothing crazy but noticeable. The room had a fridge but that was not working, the tv remote was missing the cover, the ice bucket already had a bag in it and the cups were open side up. The ice bucket thing is a very simple no no. Very unsanitary. The desk which said bucket sat on was not wiped down and felt dirty to the touch. The room had double beds in it but the room only had a pair of towel and a pair of wash cloths. So we had to ask for more. The bathroom was gross. Needed painting in some spots and the toilet seat was loose, very loose. There was hair on the shower wall and a smudge on the wall in front of the toilet. Yes, that kind of smudge. The bathroom door didn't lock either. Not the end of the world but if the door has a lock then it should work. This is also a clue as to the lack of cleaning and the very simple maintenance issues that should be addressed between guests. One more thing before I forget, they didn't clean the rooms, change the linens or give fresh towels when we left for the day. When I went down to get some fresh towels I was told we had to request that service and to just leave the dirty towels in the room until we leave.

My wife picked this hotel because it was near the location of the event we were attending and because they advertise they have a pool... the pool was closed. I'm sure all the previous comments could shine light on why the pool was closed. Edit - That pool looks to be temporarily out of service since over a year ago according to other reviews. We should have read those before making this trip.

Needless to say we will never stay here again and would never EVER recommend this place. We stayed but we very strongly debated finding another place. The only upside is the door locks worked. The owners have clearly given up...

As I'm reading these reviews, I'm wondering if people are adding reviews meant for the other La Quinta Indianapolis Airport. It's literally a 3 minute drive. I know this because I went to the wrong one 1st. The 1st one I went to was what is described in many of these reviews. Having to go from there to here, i was thankful I booked this one. The other one, is very dirty lobby and it smelled bad in the lobby and seemed very unorganized. I even mentioned to the young lady checking me in, how I was so thankful to come in to this place. The lobby is very open and airy, well lit and smelled very clean. The girl at the front desk is very efficient in her job, but maybe not the most outgoing and friendly. But she was professional and didn't waste any time. She was patient with an error on my check in and fixed it and i was in my room in less than 10 minutes. I guess there aren't elevators but we took stairs anyway. It's an older hotel and the long hallway reminded me of the shining but were clean and didn't smell bad. The room was bigger than we thought and it was clean enough for one night. The water was hot and shower had pressure. The AC unit was working well we turned it off as we got cold. We stayed on a Saturday night and even after turning the ac unit off we did not hear our neighbors nor did we hear any craziness during our stay. For the $64 total it was exactly what I expected. Yall need to chill. The checkout process was easy and quick and the young lady working was not only professional and efficient but she was very sweet and kind and personable. If you want nicer rooms and more amenities there are literally so many hotels to choose from within a 1 mile radius. Being in a long distance relationship following someone from state to state, ive been in a lot of places and the value is better than most. They have it posted on their website that their pool is closed. If I am looking for a pool in the amenities, I double check with the hotel because s**t happens, right? Stop with this culture of champagne taste with beer money. Also I would add that we ran out of gas leaving the hotel and a couple stopped what they were doing, took my boyfriend to the gas station to get gas. So everyone saying its not "safe" I'd...
