New Bay Motel — Hotel in Los Angeles

((HORRIBLE)) When We Checked In The First Thing We Did Was Pull Back Our Sheets To Make Sure Our Bedding Was Clean And Of Course It Wasn't So We Notified The Front Desk. ((There Was Lots of Hair And What Looked To Be Dead Bugs In The Bed)) So He Told Us To Tell Maintenance To Change The Sheets So We Did And Instead Of Changing The Sheets He Decided To Put The Clean Sheet Over The Dirty Sheet And I Asked Him What Was He Doing So He Gets Mad And Starts Cursing At Me So By This Point I'm Already Pissed Off!!! So He Yells At Me ((GO GET YOUR MONEY BACK)) So That's What I Did.. So We Got Our Money Back Then Through All The Madness My Wife Forgot Her I.D At The Front Window By This Time We Are Gone To Find Another Room.. We Called Them Back And said Did We Leave Our I.D They Tell Us YES ok By This Time We Are Tired And Plus It's Dark Out So We Decide We Will Get Rest And Return Tomorrow To Get The I.D Plus The Area Is ((SHADY)) We Return Bright And Early The Next Day For Them To Tell Us THERES NO I.D. The Owner Was So Mad And Rude At The Window I Just Said Lets Go We Will Just Get A New I.D. So If You Can STAY AWAY...

The front desk staff was the rudest I've ever dealt with. Talking down to me and being inappropriate. The female manager/owner was especially condscending and inappropriate in her tone as if I was a vagrant or hooker off the street, with racially-charged overtones-- not that anyone would deserve to be spoken to in such a manner. This Indian woman addressed me, an African American female older than she, as if I was street trash. Not acceptable anywhere especially in the USA, my homeland. I stayed here when i went to Cat Con June 6th-7th 2015. The room was clean, there was an ac, the shower had a shampoo/shower gel dispenser, great TV & great cable, there was a parking spot assigned to me and the front desk lady was nice. It was easy to check in and check out, no issues. The room is small but I didn't care about that - I'm staying there, not living in it. :) . My non smoking room smelled like cigarettes but I think that is because they leave the windows open to air out the room and smoke probably travels in. Either way it was no big deal because over all I was happy with my stay and my room and would definitely stay...
