This hotel is abysmal. One of the worst I've stayed in the last decade. It's run-down and the service is tepid at best. Here are some details:
room furniture was old and worn with scratches, chips, etc on every piece of furniture. A table doubled as a desk and there was a single old lamp between the beds, with ONE outlet for both beds (no clock with USB/C ports either). I just unplugged the lamp bc I couldn't reach it from my bed. There are spills on the wall near the rubbish bin that have been there for who knows how long.
outside of windows were filthy obscuring what might have been a decent view
the drain was slow and that was compounded by the plug that would not stay open so I was standing in an inch of water by the end of my shower
-the shower curtain rod was so loose I was afraid it was going to fall off
housekeeping was awful and confusing. I observed them standing in the halls chatting most of the time. They'd make a bed, change a few towels, but not all, never vacuumed (I noted some debris on the floor that I observed day after day) and didn't refill the regular coffee (decaf only). Apparently they ran out? Who is managing inventory? Unless it was on a ship trapped outside of the Baltimore Harbour, this is yet another oversight of the staff. My sheets were never once changed best I could tell.
The hotel was hot and muggy in the lobby but absolutely freezing in the conference rooms.
There is no porter or bellman to help with bags. I saw many people handling luggage carts on their own.
There was a squashed dead cockroach on the floor in front of the elevators off of the lobby.
someone just barged into my room without even knocking!! It’s not even 10am so it’s not past my check out time! Unbelievable. Just tops off the horrifying experience of this hotel.
Location is great though and the place gets on single star for indoor plumbing and coffee machines in the rooms.
Choose better than I did if you're...
Read moreRun run run!! Hotel pictures are deceiving!! If you think the 5 stars given by other people are true, then go ahead and book this place so you can put in a 0 star like me. We booked this hotel to stay for 2 nights for a wedding. Our nightmare started with the valet parking. Valet cost $28 dollars a day, which was fine. But the service was horrible!!! We had to stay on the street blocking traffic for 30 minutes because the valet people wouldn’t do their job and move empty cars at the hotel entrance. People behind us had to break the law to back up into the entrance. When we walked into the lobby, we finally got to see the most run down hotel we have ever stayed. Nasty carpet, stained chairs in the lobby, cracked ceilings, scratched walls with peeling paint. When we got into our room, oh lord! The room was so outdated and nasty. Carpet seemed so old and dirty that I wouldn’t want to take off my shoes. The wall by the window AC needed to be fixed. Bed sheet had blood stain and snot. Comforter was old and looked almost black from using for decades. Only one night stand for a king size bed. No microwave, no fridge. When we walked in to check the bathroom, towels were placed on the toilet!!! What!!! Not on the shelf under the sink, but actually on the toilet to catch germs! One of the towels had snot with blood on it! The shower tub needed new caulking, wood trims were rotten. Those were not even the worst. We tried to sleep at 10pm, but the traffic noice outside was extremely loud, like it was right by your ears. Sirens going on a few times a night, cars and motorcycles blasting, people talking loud in the hall!! No room service. We stayed for two nights, only got one coffee. When we went down to the front desk the second day for a coffee, we were told to buy by ourselves!!! The place, the service, and the stay were totally a nightmare. If I could give this place a negative...
Read moreOur experience was not a good one. Check in was difficult, computer issues at the desk. My wife and i came back to the hotel ready to settle in for the night. We turned the air conditioner on and went to bed. A few minutes later we noticed the room was getting very warm. I checked the a/c and although the thermostat was set to cool it was blowing hot. (This is all going on at approx 1:30 am). I called the front desk to inform them of the issue and she didn't seem to know what to do to rectify the situation, so she advised she would call me back in five minutes. We waited about 20 minutes and had not heard from her so i called back. She advised me they were sending someone up with a fan to our room. The security guard arrived at out room with a industrial floor drying fan that was absolutely filthy. I indulged their remedy because at the point we just wanted to go to sleep. Well.... the moment I turn the fan on it immediately filled the room with whatever kind of material that was inside of it. So at this point i called the front desk and asked for a new room. They did accommodate my request, which i feel should have just been offered in the first place! So here we are at 3a.m. now having to pack our things and move to another room that they stated was identical to the room we were in. So we get to the new room which was almost identical except for the fact that the new room did not have a fridge. Needless to say, after the bad check-in, room malfunctions, undertrained staff, no sleep, and the loss of a hundred dollars worth of food because we were just to tired to ask for another room with a fridge, saying we are disappointed with our stay is an...
