Well here's the thing. I went to check in at this place because I like staying at Hampton inns by Hilton. They have some loophole where you can't sign in online after midnight and still be able to use your friends and family discount. So they were going to charge me full price. The person working the counter was very polite and understanding. Unfortunately his boss has advised him not to give anyone discounts manually. Also Hilton hotels are getting a little carried away with their non-refundable pet discounts. So if you're traveling across the world. Each day you stay in a Hilton hotel you have to pay a $50 non-refundable dog fee. That's just crazy. I understand that past guests have probably made it this way by not cleaning up after their dogs or animals. It's not fair to responsible pet owners who love traveling with their pets. Also the lady that I called and reservations kept on saying that she can't change anything on her end. I do not think that the word can't should be in your vocabulary when you're in customer service. There are ways to make things happen. I've been in customer service and construction for over 15 years and I don't think that I've ever had to say that I can't do something. Also I've never had one of my crew members come up and say that they can't do something. I've always encouraged people to problem solve and come up with alternative solutions. Read moreBeautiful motel , but not without its faults, came to stay for an uncles funeral, got there at check in , reserved queen sized single bed room wasnt ready, but with the awesome ability to extend checkout, i understood, but was put into a double full size bed room , was very cramped, and upon arriving at 3pm would have thought there would be enough hot water for my wife and I to shower b4 the funeral , but there wasn't enough shower was all but ice cold. Staff was very nice wonderfull and accommodating, on day shift at the front desk and the breakfast cook,they donned their masks, and did buisness like professionals ,,,,nite shift and maid service was another story. Signs all over motel says masks required. Nite desk shift and maid service, didn't wear thier masks, and in these covid-19 times, that is totally unacceptable, the pull under canopy had water pouring out of a light box in the ceiling with the power on to the light as well as a hole, well more of a saturated crack in the stucco, leaked water as well,,, vidio included at end,,, other trips to this same establishment earlier in the year were top rate, but this go round leads me to only rate the stay as a 3 star, which pains me , we love our Hampton, by Hilton visits usually, but were quite disappointed this time, will prob tey the Hilton Double Tree next stay, as we tend to stay with Hilton...
Read moreTo me we chose a hotel because it's better than a motel. Out of the few hotels in Mt Vernon we have stayed in this is by far the worst. We arrived staff was very friendly which was great. We got into our room and realized there was no fridge. $360 2 night and no fridge "fridge is extra". Also oh by the way our pool is not working and hasn't been working for 8 months. Okay well you just crushed my teenage sons dreams as soon as we arrived. Next day breakfast was okay no meat but decent breakfast. I go to take a shower and the shower head attachment fell off from the wall. By the end of the night we were done seeing family we come back for our second night and I'm pushing the elevator button over and over. Probably 6-8 xs n finally I look at the front desk clerk who has been watching me and say is the elevator broke. He said oh yeah I'll get a sign. I said no I am not staying her if it's broke we are on 3rd floor I have psoriatic arthritis and fibromyalgia. He immediately goes to second floor and fixes but said it breaks all the time. My question is this hotels booked completely booked for days. Yet can't fix the pool, fix the elevator, fix the rooms up, fix the entrance roof. Get it together Hilton!!! Very unimpressed and...
