Lamb's Rest Inn — Hotel in New Braunfels

We stayed at the Lamb's Rest Inn this past weekend. It was wonderful! The owners really pay attention to every detail. Each room has bath robes, night lights,hair dryer, plenty of towels and toiletries, Keurig coffee maker, the softest sheets ever (available for sale there, too) and a very comfortable bed. Rooms are immaculate, homey, and very quiet (well insulated...can't hear the other guests). On the weekend you get a delicious homemade gourmet breakfast (seated family style) with different decorations and tableware each morning. In the inside common area there are fresh baked cookies each day, a wine cooler that you can keep your wine (or other beverages) in, an ice machine, any cup/glass/plate you might need. Outside in the back it is so beautiful, with three levels of terraces to sit on, from up near the main building to down by the Guadalupe River, a pool and hot tub, very peaceful, romantically lit at night, plenty of seating, a swing on the middle deck...just fantastic. While the property is rice, great area, wonderful views, the room had a problem. We stayed in Quilly's room and at first we thought it was amazing........until we turned the A/C on to go to sleep. It would make the most obnoxious rattling about every 10 minutes. Not just a little rattle, very, very loud. We were able to fall asleep about 2:30 AM after just becoming so used to it. I messaged the caretakers and they informed me they were aware of it.....then nothing, never heard back from them. Seems like they would not be renting the room out if they new guests would not be able to rest. So we had to stay the 2nd night with the exact same problem. The property is for sale so they must not really care about guest satisfaction at this point. Either way, if you are staying in Quilly's room, just get really drunk before bed so you can sleep... or sleep...
