I'm sure the price goes up during baseball season given it's proximity to Yankee Stadium, but for a trip to NYC in December, you cannot beat the price. The room was clean, small, but what do you expect for NYC. I was thoroughly impressed with the showerhead/water pressure in the shower as most hotels do not have good water pressure in the shower. I noticed two, what appeared to be cigarette burns at the top of our comforter which was a bit unpleasant considering it is a 100% smoke free establishment. The hotel advertises having free parking, however, they only have a handful of spots in a parking lot behind the building and once it fills up, you're out of luck so I find that to be a bit of false advertising. They also advertise having a full continental breakfast. I don't know if that's a first come first serve thing as well and if you don't go early enough you miss out, but we went at about 8:30 am and many things were unstocked. No bread in the giant basket labeled "bread", a few muffins in the muffin case, a little bit of scrambled eggs, diced breakfast potatoes that did not appear to be cooked, two lone pieces of French toast. In the time we were there it did not appear anyone was coming to replenish anything. So it was either poor service in that they didn't keep up with refilling the food OR poor advertising not making the guests aware that it was more of a first come, first serve. The pillows were the most uncomfortable I've ever slept on. They were very fluffy and as soon as you laid your head, you sank down. They weren't shaped like pillows. It was almost as if someone filled a pillowcase with stuffed animal filling and called it a pillow. With all of the above being said, I would book this hotel again and just be aware of the above and plan to have another place to park, have breakfast elsewhere and bring your own pillow because again even with all of that you cannot beat the price...

Read moreArrived 5/25 for a one night stay, 2 rooms as there were 8 of us. Within 3 hours of checking in to the hotel, I woke to find a rash on my inner left arm and upper chest. I sleep on my stomach with arm under the pillow. I immediately called the front desk and went downstairs once confirming there was a female present. I was not offered a different room but simply told that she would contact her General manager, Anil Panwala. At checkout the following morning I had not heard back from anyone and again discussed in detail with the staff member at the front desk what had transpired the previous night. In my presence she too reached out to him via text only to be told not to give his number out. At a minimum, he could have comped the room for the incident seeing as to how I spent the rest of the night sitting up in the provided chair. I did not have a problem paying $271 for the night or for the second room. Clearly the rash’s was caused by the linens. This isn’t the first review regarding cleanliness for this property. Just 3 months after opening there is a review regarding stained bed sheets and pillow cases but the manager indicated linens are changed daily ?
When Mr Panwala did respond on Monday 5/27, 2 days after the incident it was only to be say that my allergic reaction was not his responsibility and that he was home dealing with a special needs daughter. As a business owner myself, both my husband and I are available 24/7 by phone should something there requires immediate attention occur. I know that I did not arrive with the rash and coincidentally the rash was only present on the exposed areas of my body. Lower body is clear as is my right arm. My bank has intervened and will be disputing the charge secondary to the correspondence I have had with...
