HOTEL MILANO — Hotel in San Juan

STAY AWAY! This hotel advertised our room came with breakfast, but it doesn't. I just called the front desk for the 2nd time since we checked in to tell them we don't have hot water. The first time they sent a maintenance guy up to feel the water and he confirmed that it was not hot and left and we were never contacted again about it. Now my daughter went to take her bath and the drain will not keep the water in the tub and the water is ice cold. I called the front desk again and the guy tells me "Well I'm alone here. You probably just need to put it on cold for hot water." I said no it doesn't, I already tried that. Then he said, "Well we also eliminated the bath tub feature so she can't take a bath anyways." The toilet clogged after the first use, the a.c. isn't cold and has no controls, so the temperature cannot be changed. The window in the room is a 12 inch block of glass, there's damage to the wall, and all the appliances look like they are from 1986. This hotel doesn't care about it's guests. I also told them the listing states the room is a bed and breakfast. They said "Oh yeah that's a problem with it. Someone should change it." My daughter got bit by a dog this morning and we are very tired from our day dealing with it so we are staying the nite here, but if it wasn't for how exhausted we are, I would leave now and demand a refund. I was going to keep my review to myself, before I found out they kept my deposit for burning a candle, they accused us of smoking in the room like they seen us smoking on camera in the room????????. The shower was cold, we stayed four nights and the sheets were never changed. We had a city view room but all we saw was the side of the building. The guy over the manager was nice he showed us the roof top and new renovations prior to us being accused of smoking. Front desk stated housekeeping smelled an odor in the hallway it was an odor that stayed the entire stay we were there! I asked front desk to enter the room and smell the hallway as well. It was in a great location but I would never go back. We requested a manager the manger never came. The curtains were hanging off the rodes and the TV was high up on the wall your neck starts to hurt while watching it. The night staff was pretty great and the aesthetics were nice. This happened the second night so I was really bothered the next two night making my birthday trip less than amazing. Also hotel staff just entered the room without knocking while we were showering, and front desk said oh they thought you left out. But when we actually left and came back the room was just the way we left it. So why did you enter if you weren’t going to clean it. They can keep the deposit but upon check out they didn’t say anything about keeping...

Reservation was for 2 Superior rooms with a view and 2 full beds with a request that they be together since we were traveling with our 3 older teens. When we arrived they told us they did not have two rooms on the same floor. So they gave us two rooms on different floors. When the hubby and I arrived to our room we were appauled. The paint on the wall was pealing. The "View" was of the roof of an abndonded building. The window was broken. AND there was only one bed, SO NOT the room we reserved or paid for. The first lady we spoke to at the desk was not helpful. Not rooms to move us to. No refund. But she had plenty of attitude. The second lady we spoke to was a little more helpful. She refunded us the difference in the cost of the rooms and offered a roll away bed to accomodate our family of 5. However, the roll away was a nasty, crusty thing that we were afraid to put our daughter on. If we were going to be staying any longer than one night I would have definately found another hotel.
