We made our reservation sight unseen and can't believe our luck! The Creek House at the Samba Inn was all we were hoping for and more. It really was the perfect place to stay; privacy, atmosphere - including a backyard with fire pit and a creek for relaxing by and listening to at night to lull you to sleep - comfort and amenities - a perfectly stocked kitchenette and bathroom as well as pastries and breakfast items along with a refrigerator stocked with drinks. The town of Jeffersonville was quaint, friendly and had, in addition to the Samba Inn, a nice selection of eating establishments within walking distance. Most impressive were the hosts Tim, Andrea and Lauren - a great family who offered hospitality and directions (a great shortcut to Bethel Woods), information about the area, great concern about our comfort and enjoyment of our weekend in the Catskills. Did I mention hospitality?! - thank you Tim and Andrea, we came as strangers and left feeling as if we had stayed with friends. We would stay no where else on our next trip...
Read moreThe cottage we rented called Creek House was on a stream with a backyard boasting Adirondack chairs with pillows and a wood/charcoal grill, if you were so inclined. The building is rustic, comfortable and light. Nice sheets, towels, amenities and Andrea made a great apple tart for us. The fridge (an antique!) held sparkling water, sodas, milk, milk substitute, and Oui yogurts. Lots of munchies besides and fresh fruit upon our arrival. While there is a convection oven and a microwave, there is no cook top if you are planning to cook eggs, pasta, and the like. It is our second visit and although we miss the Cafe, the hamlet has gotten more options for visitors, including Bloom Coffee in Sullivan Sundries, and a gourmet food shop. We went further afield to the Old Foundation and even further to Seminary Hill Orchard and Cidery. You won't be disappointed. The innkeepers Tim and Andrea couldn't be nicer, whatever you need, they are happy to provide if possible. ...
Read moreWe stayed here for two nights to pick up my daughter at a nearby summer camp. The owners were so incredibly nice and welcoming and the accommodations were just what we wanted. The furnishings were cute and comfy with two beds, a dining table, a sitting area, kitchenette and bathroom. The entrance is completely separate making it very private and the location was right in town but behind the main street. They provided us with a full array of breakfast items including homemade pastries, cereal, fruit, etc. and a fridge full of yogurts, milk and sodas. We enjoyed a tapas dinner on Saturday night and the drinks and food were delicious. The owners take great pride in their Inn and it really shows. Would definitely visit again and highly recommend for a...
