Budget Inn — Hotel in Town of Trenton

This is a small town with a very limited number of options for room rentals, and even though this motel is rough around the edges, thinking positively it has a few reasonable qualities.

The owners are very polite, but they raised the price a little between the time when the room was reserved and when I arrived. The room itself had a fair amount of space with a king bed, table and chairs, and a full bathroom, but the sheets had holes in them, and the towels had a few orange stains. I had AC and hot water, but the AC was either very cold, or muggy warm (although, the temperature outside was abnormally high at 90 F). The room has a flatscreen TV with a cable box, but I needed to reset the cable box in order for it to work correctly (also the remote didn't work with the cable box). The closet / office space was very large, and I was provided a coffee machine, but the packet of complementary coffee was already torn open. The shower has warm water, but there was a small hole in the bottom of the bathtub, and part of the bathroom ceiling drywall was missing. The room came with a microwave and refrigerator, but they were sitting on the floor, not a big deal, just inconvenient. They did provide service to the room between my first and second night's stay, but I'm not sure if much was done to the room besides replacing the used with fresh towels. Being that the sheets my first night had holes, I was able to tell the same holes were present after service. The area is actually very quiet, so you can get good rest. Plus there are several small shops nearby.

It was alright but the bed in room 11 was hard as a board. I was in pain from driving so didn't get any sleep. They never cleaned the microwave and it was disgusting!! I was very tired and needed to get my 82 y/o mother in to a safe, clean place for the night so this was fine. It was quiet too even though it looked busy. Would I go again?? I suppose if I had to. Older but a good value for the price. We took an unplanned family trip to West Canada Creek & were able to get a room with a full size bed and two twin beds for under $80 last minute. The room was decent sized. If you're looking for updates and frills this isn't it, but if you're looking for a cheap costing place close to fishing & basics like a gas station & food this is worth...
