Hidden Cove — Hotel in Washburn

We did a short vacation up to the Bayfield area and stayed at the Hidden Cove cabin for two nights. The location and lodging were perfect. It was a very quick drive to several beaches on Lake Superior and to the Bayfield/Madeline Island Ferry. The cabin was very cute and had a fully equipped kitchen that was great for making breakfast and picnic lunches. The best part of the cabin was the location, which is right on Lake Superior, you just can't beat sitting around a fire pit with Lake Superior as your backdrop. We didn't bring kayaks on this trip, but we definitely will for our next visit, as the cove would be a great launching point. Lastly, the owners were amazing and even mailed my son's book to us after forgetting it...

Hidden Cove is the best!!! We loved it! The setting is beautiful and peaceful and fun! We loved the view, the hammocks, the fire pit, the games, the lake, and the porch. We especially enjoyed swimming in the hidden cove. It was a delight to wake up in the Sun Room to the view of the trees and the lake. The cabin was well stocked with the everyday items we needed. Perfect decor accompanies the the whole "lakeside" aesthetic of the property. Nice large lot with mix of tall trees for shade as well as open space. One of the only getaways we've stayed at that had way more storage space than needed. The large, four-season porch facing Lake Superior is stunning.
