Me and my bf decided to stay here for the state fair and it was a horrible experience they have BED BUGS!!!!!!!! I was getting ready on the morning of check out when my bf noticed bed bug on the bed I took a video and went right down the the front office they told me they had to send someone to the room to prove there were bed bugs I sat in the lobby only partially ready for my day waiting for the cleaning lady to come down, she came down she to give us the refund I went up to the room to finish getting ready and now package all my stuff up to not already anymore bugs a house keeper stopped at our room at about 11:01 we said we were still getting stuff packed up then at about 11:06 we got a call to the room from the front desk asking if we were leaving the room I stated that we were and that because of the bed bug situation that it took be a bit longer but I will be out In a few then at 11:08 the manager came up to our room stayed we needed to leave immediately or we would not be receiving our refund I was naked in the bath room putting my clothes on getting ready to leave at this moment so I went down to the front desk to check out and spoke to a very rude manager about how it was rude to be so pushy after finding bed bugs and having to rebag my clothes oh and our sink didn’t drain so we couldn’t use that either and he produced to tell me to get out. Will never stay here again I don’t recommend you do either if you don’t want bed bugs. (Replay to the managers comment on my review) It’s pretty sad to see such poor management when you get called out for bad behavior your first reaction shouldn’t be to try and blame the customer considering I have video footage and timestamps of everything and the times that I went down and I went down after 10:30 in the morning and as for the intimacy you’re claiming that’s pretty freaking weird and creepy of you. I was naked and changing into my clothes when you maintenance person tried to walk in the room without even knocking on the Door, we were not having sex considering my boyfriend was fully packed up and ready to go try. This has been reported to corporate and is being reported to upper management along with all the video footage I have and I’m sure they can pull the video footage from the hotel lobby and the time that. I really hope you can learn to run your business better instead of being insulted the minute someone finds your establishment is infested with bedbugs. I said hotels a lot and this is honestly the most disgusting behavior treatment I have ever experienced. I wish I was lying about the terrible situation but I’m not but go ahead and fight with a costumer lol (and he changed he comment back to me hahah) I will have a great day please don’t be creepy to or treat anymore hotel...
Read moreI don't typically review a bad hotel, just move on with my life, lesson learned, never go there again, however; this place is the exception. People deserve to know.||||Let me start by saying I had a hip replaced and have been enjoying things that I had been missing so badly! One of those was going to Brewers games so I was beyond thrilled to be going to an extra special 25th anniversary celebration of the stadium with former players in attendance for a variety of events. It was a special day, and the Brewers organization held up their end of the deal. Back to the hotel to have some well-deserved rest and relaxation, right?||||We arrive at the hotel and are 2nd in line for check in. From the start you could see there was an issue with the guest ahead of us, whom I will say was an absolute saint!! She was patient with the desk clerk, I did not catch exactly what was going on, it was none of my business. I did however hear the clerk tell the guest the "manager wouldn't do anything and she could feel free to contact the 800#" When they finally resolved the issue, I said to the other guest I was sorry she had issues and hoped her day improved. You know, just being kind. The clerk immediately advised me that the fault was the guests. I felt that was inappropriate but carried on and got checked in. ||||We entered our room which smelled very strongly of cigarettes and must. I was still optimistic and wanted to make the best of it, so we unpacked and of course, checked the bedding. It appeared clean but was very worn and torn. The bathroom was very dingy and had mildew in the grout. I am determined to power on and make the best of it, but there was no way the pool and hot tub were even an option at this point. I'm not testing those waters...||||We head down to the lounge for a drink and some food. This was clearly also going to be a disaster you could see the frustration on the other guests faces as we entered. Spoke with a couple and they advised they were waiting for 15-20 minutes for drinks, so they were leaving. There's more I could add but I don't think I need to pile on. This was more the fault of only having one person doing the bartending, the serving, the bussing and back bar jobs. She was just overwhelmed yet pleasant. ||||After all of this, what should have been an evening we got started enjoying around 7:30 (at worst case scenario) is now nearly 9pm and our evening was ruined. We ordered pizza delivered to the room, (which tool 90 minutes) and had a drink in a smelly, sad room. ||||I don't want to this to happen to anyone else! We had an evening stolen from us, and all to the...
Read moreWhile I generally enjoyed my visit this weekend. There were a few issues that need to be addressed.
On the first night I had to be moved into a different room due to the TV was not getting a signal. Which the service was great, providing us with another room and helping move our luggage. The issue was Saturday afternoon when we couldn't get into our room because they hadn't set our departure time to the correct date (It appears as it was set for one night and not the two that was reserved). This was only a minor inconvenience and was easily corrected.
When checking in I had attempted to arrange for a late check out. And was originally told that there would be a fee to do so. Having Diamond status with Best Western it is included. Once I informed them of my status (which should have been known, without me prompting them) I was told I could stay till 1pm. I also never did receive the bottle of water which was also to be included be my Diamond status.
On the morning of check out when I went to check the status of my late check out (being that the room had changed) I was told again that there would be a fee to do so. But this time was informed that it doesn't matter of my rewards level, the latest that they could do for me was 12pm.
Also on check out day at 11:45 am the lower level guest loading door was still locked and unless you had a key, you couldn't get in. This was supposed to be unlocked at this time of the day. Which made it challenging to load my luggage in my vehicle.
When I went to check out I provided my room number and asked for a receipt. I was told since I used a third party service I didn't get a receipt. I informed the desk agent (same one who told me I can't do late check out) that I made the reservation with Best Western. I was the provided a receipt. As I was riding home I looked at my receipt and it is not for my room but someone else's room.
You desk agents should be trained to check for reward statuses and what should be provided in that guest's level. What is the purpose of having a reward program if you don't honor the perks of having it. Also the desk agent you have working on Sunday had an attitude issue and is not customer friendly.
Another issue is that you can hear people walking above you, so wanting to sleep in on my second night I could not do so being you could hear the person above me was pacing non stop from 6am-7am. I know there is not a lot that can be done but still yet another inconvenience...
