BEWARE DO NOT BOOK HERE SPEND THE EXTRA FEW DOLLARS AND GO TO ANOTHER MOTEL!!!! I went to this motel to check in and immediately was harassed by the men outside drinking and smoking in the parking lot. The first two rooms on the first floor right next to the office the guests had both windows and doors open playing very loud rap music and smoking cigarettes and weed in the rooms! (I should have left right then and there but I asked to not be near them if possible) After checking in I went to check the room however the elevator was broken so I had to climb up the stairs with my children and my infant in a stroller. The stairs and outside of the building were black and filthy. The key wouldn’t work for the door. After finally being able to get into the room the smell was very overwhelming my kids plugged their noses and didn’t even want to walk in the room. The floors were super sticky, very dirty with crumbs all over the floor. The refrigerator smelled like spoiled food and was dirty. The bathroom was falling apart. I wasn’t even in the room for 5minutes and saw multiple cockroaches and determined it was time to go. When I walked back into the front office to return the keys the lady at the front desk was spraying very strong chemicals from a clear bottle with something written in black sharpie. I asked what she was spraying (I thought for bugs) she said it was Febreeze but it was definitely not. She said it smells and she was trying to get rid of the smell. While leaving I saw a drug deal right in front of the office. This place was absolutely the worst motel I’ve ever been too in my entire life. I’m not racist but all I saw were Mexican and black people partying. I wasn’t even there for 10minutes and the things I saw and experienced were outrageous especially exposing my children to this environment was unacceptable. We went and stayed at the holiday inn and my kids were much happier able to swim and enjoy themselves without their mom looking over her shoulder the whole time. I stayed here for 2 years straight. Because I couldn't afford anywhere else, it was terrible, they take your money that you use as a deposit. They keep it regardless if you have a late feet, they put it in their pockets add literally saw someone coming in after me. And they took her late feet and looked at me and said I needed her gas money since u didn't have ur late fee. There's black mold they're using paint to cover up The newest manager, she's the female got in my face, won't do hit me. She started a lot of drama between me and another girl that worked there accusing her of killing my money and then accidents. She didn't say that that woman is terrible. The place was decent before she began toward there. Now that she works there. It's terrible. The rooms are never clean like they should be. You can't get toilet paper after staying there for a couple of days. No matter how clean you get it, you will not get your. Deposit back I cleaned it 20 times better than it was when I got there and I still didn't get mif. You want to hood run down place? Then go stay there if you don't wantna live in the hood and you want something that's clean without cockroaches. I recommend going somewhere else. This place is 8 up with cockroaches. The only thing that's good about it. Is the guy that works after hours? He's the only nice person that works there. The only one that cares about people when I was there. I got robbed 3 times they didn't do anything about it. My door never locked the whole time. I was there. This place is full of shy sea people. It's very loud, very nasty and poorly cleaned. I stayed here back around Halloween with my family. We were visiting from out of town and taking our kids trick or treating with their cousins that live in the area. After we arrived, we went to eat and came back to our key card not working. It was getting late and I was worried that no one was going to be there to help us out. The very sweet tall dark headed man popped up just when we needed someone the most. My daughter was about to pee in her pants and the gentleman who worked there ran to get another key card made. He came back in lightning speed time. We received our working key card along with precise customer service and I felt very accommodated. Every time we crossed paths his southern hospitality was gleaming. I would love to experience the customer service that this hotel brought to us in every public establishment I encounter. This is what the world needs more of instead of all the technology that's taking over the human body! A nice smile and hello can go a long way in someone's day. I felt the warmth in every way shape or form when we stayed here. I will be returning and renting a room the next time we are in Winston Salem. I am quick to refer this hotel and the services to anyone right off the bat. Y'all will be on the top of my list!! Thank you for everything and keep up the good work!! Such good employees you have...
