I was staying in this hotel way back in 1998 on a working trip. The hotel at that time was considered one of the best. Beside it, there was a 2 star hotel which was called Hong Bang hotel. This is one hotel not for me, I think the hotel had been demolished by now.|I remembered I used to cross over the road to dine at one of the small restaurant serving Japanese food, The restaurant name was CHIE. I think it had already closed.|They served real authentic Japanese food, I was surprised by its quality. I stayed there for about 4 nightss, on the day before my checked out from the hotel,|I requested for an early wake up called at 03:00hrs as my flight departure time was 07:30hrs. My taxi will be at hotel at 03:30hrs to pick me up to go airport.|Nevertheless, I was sceptical on the efficiency of the front office staff so I decided to make my own alarm clock to wake myself up as a back up.|True enough, I woke up at 03:00hrs and had my shower and change into my clothing and had my lugguage packed and ready.|I came down to the front office only to see the front office male staff sleeping away. I wasn't angry with him anyways, he is also a human. The staffs are reltively friendly despite they can't really speaked perfect English.|I woke him up and handed the room key to him (hotel room bill already paid in advanced) and thank him and proceed to my waiting taxi outside the hotel to continue my journey to Noi Bai Internatioal airport to catch my flight at 07:30hrs. I arrived at the airport at 07:00hrs. Those days, the airport was very simple, the departure gate was just beside the check in counter if I can still remember.|Till today, I still missed the lovely city...

The restaurant was bad because of no service from the waiters and bad English language skills that made it difficult to order food. The food was ok. The cleaning was not good either during our stay.
