The hotel itself is a nice hotel. Rooms are clean and nice decoration. They have balcony with ok views of pool. Sea views are limited as they obstructed view by trees and restaurants. On March 9th, I came back to my hotel room around 10pm and found my door unlocked as seen in picture. I alerted front desk agent right away and she came up with me to open and check the room. Next day (11am), I went to front desk for a follow up, but the Vietnamese agent didn’t know how to handle the situation. She informed me that housekeeping staff made sure to close the door (after cleaning) and I was the only one with key card. She also told me that surveillance cameras were broken and not working. A few minutes later the supervisor Karolina (from Poland) approached the desk and they gave me a new room (21). Then I realized it didn’t have a safe box so I had to go to front desk again to request one. I asked Karolina to check CCTV footage and she told me that the GM was in old town and not able to see the footage right away (which is weird because she is a supervisor). I told her I did not feel safe anymore and I wanted to move to a different hotel. Finally, Karolina informed me (around 1:15pm) that they saw footage (which I didn’t) and only housekeeping and I were the only ones in the room that day. They didn’t offer any other options but to move to another room. The main reason I reserved a private room was for privacy and safety but this hotel does not offer that. Management is very slow taking actions and it feels like they are not trained properly for situations like this. I’m a male solo traveler, and this whole situation made me feel uncomfortable. I usually never post reviews, but I feel responsible to let future travelers know my experience and hoping does not happen again. This hotel takes laid-back and relaxing vibes to another level (not in a safety way).

Where do I even begin, fuse beach side has to be by far the best hostel I stayed in during my travels, I originally only pIaned to spend a few days here but ended up spending 8 nights after already spending 4 in fuse old town (and then proceeding to spend 5 in fuse Nha trang afterwards), the location is absolutely beautiful with the hostel giving Mumma Mia vibes and the free shuttles running between beach and old town helping make the best of all sides of Hoi an, there’s always a great mix of nightly activities on between the two locations and a bus into town at 10 every night to keep the party going while allowing those not partying to be able to sleep, I also highly recommend the bicycle tour and the basket boats/cooking class tour run through the hostel as a great way to see Hoi An’s culture, the reps there are some of the nicest and funnest people ensuring everyone is always include and having fun, special shoutout to Charlene, Laura, Chrissy and Lucy for making my stay here one in a life time, I miss you all so much and wish I could come back already

Really bad experience at Fuse Hostel Beachside in Hoi An. I spent the night in an 8-bed dorm and the shared bathrooms… I’ll just let you imagine. Filthy and completely neglectful of basic hygiene standards. There was a thick layer of mould and rust everywhere. To make things worse, one of my roommates came back drunk at 4am and kept everyone awake, just after the people in the room next door had been singing loudly for hours. Unfortunately, there was no one at reception during the night to stop it or even to complain to not that it would’ve made much of a difference, since the hostel itself blasts loud music until late. To top it all off, I asked for a plaster after injuring myself and they didn’t have any, which is actually illegal for a place like this. They don’t change your sheets, mine were torn and had old blood stains on them (no idea how long they’d been there). And for summer? They give you a fleece blanket. Ridiculous. Avoid at all costs!

Good hostel for 1st timer, young, partying backpackers. If you are a more experienced traveler or not wanting 'gap year' vibes, like me, go somewhere else. The pricing of tours and food at the hostel and it's associated beach club is the MOST EXPENSIVE I encountered in 5 weeks in Vietnam. When you ask for advice from the staff they are lovely but have clearly been trained to sell the hostel's products, not give objective tourist info. The rooms are very clean and the communal pool is nice. It's also very close to a beautiful beach. BUT I stayed in the female only dorm and both male and female members of staff walked in and out unexplained. In one afternoon when I was in the room there were 5 unexplained visits by staff to my dorm in 1 hour for no reason I could make out. I queried this with the reception desk and they were equally confused saying it should not be happening. However, the unannounced visits continued for the 4 nights I stayed.

Also be aware the 6 free shuttles to Hoi An every day are actually 3 shuttles from Beach side to Old town and 3 back again. The latest departure is around 2pm so you cannot use the shuttles to go for sunset/lantern trips into old town. I ended up paying for Grabs everyday...

BED BUGS!!!! Would highly avoid this hostel. Had over 20 bites on one leg. Whist I was staying at the hostel I heard 4 other guests complain about also having bed bugs. When we told them about this the only thing they did to try an and rectify the issue was change the sheets gave the room a spray and gave us a free coke and washing (when the washing returned everything was still dirty). They refused a refund and didn’t even offer another bed for the remaining nights stay. When I asked to speak to the manager Trin she was extremely difficult and thought that by giving us a free coke this rectified the inconvenience and distress caused. After making them aware that bed bugs are a parasite and don’t go away after a spray of some cleaning products nor do they go away quickly and that the room would need to be emptied and fumigated she very reluctantly gave us a refund for the night she got bit. (Which I still have not received). Their only job as a hostel is to provided a clean space to sleep and they didn’t even provide this and I’m disgusted by how the staff handled this situation. They’d be getting zero stars if it weren’t for Flo and Ben (the reps) who were really helpful and tried their best to help in...
