Cloud9 Escape Rooms Bright — Local services in Northern Victoria Region

Review for the Larkdale Slasher escape room: $55 p/p for an escape room!?! Paying this kind of money for a 60 minute maximum time limit is blatantly outrageous. If you do not complete the escape room in under an hour, you fail and pretty much pay for 3/4 of the experience. The puzzles are un-original and overtly 'copy and pasted'. Not to spoil, but 90% of the "puzzles" consist of finding a multi-numbered code of some sort and entering it in a digital number pad or a padlock. Snooze. Don't let the "hard" difficulty fool you though as the real challenge is solving a puzzle with barely enough context or information. Just imagine finding a key to a lock you haven't even discovered yet. There are no hints or any set of instructions to where the lock is and all you are given is a sarcastic "good luck". Frustrating to say the least. I've been to many escape rooms and all of them deliver a far more creative and original experience for 2/3 of the price. ⭐ 0 Star – Extremely Poor Customer Service

I witnessed one of the most disappointing customer service experiences at Bright Escape Rooms (Bright, Victoria). A few young kids (around 11 years old) purchased tickets to enter an escape room but became scared and politely asked for a refund before going in.

Instead of handling the situation professionally, a staff member named Jon responded aggressively and in a completely unacceptable manner. He raised his voice at the children, told them to “get out of my store,” and even said they were trespassing. His tone kept escalating, and he repeatedly stated that it was “all about making money.”

I understand businesses have policies and need to make money, but there is no excuse for speaking to children this way. The lack of duty of care, basic respect, and professionalism toward minors was shocking and disturbing.

Based on this experience alone, I would strongly recommend staying away from this escape room, especially if you are visiting with kids. Customer service like this is completely...

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at Cloud 9 Escape Rooms in Bright and cannot recommend it highly enough. The rooms were clever, engaging, and so much fun for our whole group — but what truly made the experience exceptional was Jon.

Jon was incredibly welcoming, patient, and attentive from the moment we arrived. He went above and beyond to make sure everyone felt comfortable and included, especially my autistic son. Jon explained everything clearly, checked in without being intrusive, and created such a calm, supportive environment that my son felt confident, relaxed, and genuinely excited to participate.

It’s rare to find staff who are not only professional but also so naturally kind and understanding. Jon’s approach made a huge difference to our experience, and it meant the world to us as a family.
