The Sea Lion tour was worth every penny. The swim was so much fun and the sea lions are very cute. The team were very friendly and professional. They seemed very confident and calm in the rough morning voyage. All the instructors, including the captain hold a marine biology higher education qualification so we were kept well informed about the plight of the Australian Sea Lions. We took the morning tour, although they gave us the options to come back in the afternoon or another day, due to the rough voyage forecast. The team on board were always paying attention and assisting all passagers throughout the trip. It was nice having some refreshment in the morning and at lunch. It gives us a peace of mind choosing an eco-business tour operator. We were privileged to swam along with the sea lion, which are currently a danger species because of their long reproduction cycle and sea pollution. Therefore, knowing that there are strict policies in place to protect them during the tour in their conservation areas was comforting. The instructors were very informative about the sea lion, the overall history and key information about the conservation areas. They were eloquent about the importance of protecting the environment by doing small steps at home and when being in nature. Unfortunately, pollution in our sea if affecting our marine flora and fauna. We strongly recommend to hire the go pro camera and it was nice receiving some pictures taking by the instructors in the trip. If you are in the area it is a must do tour in the Eyre Peninsula.

I did my cage dive almost 6 months ago with Adventure Bay Charters (I know - I'm late to do this review - Sorry guys!!). Since then I've travel the Australian Outback, West Coast, Top End and North Island of New Zealand. My Cage Dive with ABC stands out as my favourite experience of the trip so far! From start to finish I was blown away by how kind, caring and professional the staff were. We saw our first shark within 10 minutes of arriving at the Neptune Islands and within an hour everyone on the boat had been through either the cage or AquaSub and seen a Shark (both in my case!) The food was plentiful and so good - I didn't eat much because I was sea sick but the guys made sure i had lots of ginger tea and water and honestly took such good care of me! The next day I went back out and swam with the Sea Lions - SO much fun & I felt so safe!! The pictures they took both days were amazing!! Thanks so much - will 100% be back to do it again some day!!!

Absolutely horrible. We used them for shark cage diving. My husband and I flew to Port Lincoln to go shark cage diving. We unfortunately were booked with this company. We did not realize that this company is the only shark cage diving company in Australia that does not use bait or chum the water. Our excursion was booked by a travel agent. They have their reasons for not using bait, dumb as they may be. And their reasons would be fine if they had other effective ways to attract sharks but they do not. Instead they play rock music, typically ACDC, they smack the water and make noises to attract the sharks, which does not work. So what happens is that you have a shark cage expedition without sharks. It isn't that they can't control mother nature, they aren't really trying. Instead they take your money and waste your time. All of their competitors use bait and chum. The day that we were out on the water, one of their competitors, Calypso, was also on the water. Calypso uses chum/bait. The next day at the airport, we ran into people who were on the Calypso boat and they saw sharks. They were on the same water, on the same day, at the same time. They saw sharks and we didn't because this company is a scam. There is no reason to use this company and take the chance of not seeing any sharks, which is what happened to us. It is an embarrassing story. To make people feel better, they had an open bar of cheap beer on the ride home and gave each person a voucher for 50% off their next shark cage diving expedition with them which must be used within 2 years. We are from New York. When is the next time we are going to be in Port Lincoln, Australia and if we are ever in the area again, we will use Calypso. I would never recommend Adventure Bay Charters. We paid for shark cage diving not a boat ride. My advice for this company is to stop scamming people and chum the water like every other company in Australia. If you are considering them, look at the competition. Also, the boat is too small and the wet suits smell so bad they can make you gag. But nothing is as bad as not seeing sharks!! They did claim that one shark came by but no one saw it, except the workers. Scam much?!

I see that the company likes to respond to reviews and talk about the way they use music to attract sharks but no matter what they say, there were no sharks coming by our boat, even though the Calypso boat which was about 100m away saw sharks. To the owner, write what you want in response to my review but you are ripping people off. I listened to the on board briefing on how your company supposedly attracts sharks with music and vibration but there were no sharks. You can say whatever you want but nothing changes the fact that there were no sharks. Clearly your method does not attract sharks if the sharks wouldn't even come by your boat but went by the Calypso boat.

Yes, the crew is nice. Yes, there is food on the boat. BUT THERE WERE NO SHARKS, which is all that matters! Without sharks, it is just cage diving on a boat tour. Which is not what we paid for. To potential customers, look elsewhere. Don't waste your time or money. I hear...

Isn’t it funny how sometimes you know you are living the moment that you’ll never forget? I had this exact thought on the 16th of January on the back deck of the Adventure Lady, standing surrounded by my family and best friends, looking out over the white sandy beaches of Blythe Island, watching Sea Lions frolic in the ocean, like they were waving goodbye. I quietly smiled to myself, and in that moment, I knew, I will never forget. To explain, in January of 2021 I had the pleasure and privilege of privately chartering the Adventure Lady for my 21st birthday celebrations. From start to finish, it was perfect.

From checking in in the office to stepping off the boat the staff were incredible, I have so much respect for what they do.

The crew, Daniel, Sophie, Kelsi and Daisy, were stand out. They were all so happy I don’t think I saw them not smiling. They made sure everyone was comfortable, safe and having a good time. With their expert Marine Biology knowledge, the crew educated us on the Sea Lions and marine environment, even explaining how we could do things in our everyday lives to protect the beautiful creatures. I am so thankful to them for all that they did for me and for us, I and all my guests had an unforgettable experience.

The interaction with the Sea Lions was phenomenal. We had two main groups that were playing around, and they were brave enough to swim directly in front of us. We got some amazing footage on our own cameras, and the crew took some great pictures of us as well!

I am so grateful to Adventure Bay Charters, the crew and the Sea Lions for making our experience the best birthday I could have every asked for. I find myself talking about my experience so much. I could not more highly recommend booking with Adventure Bay Charters. You...

The shark tour with Adventure Bay was brilliant all of the staff were so friendly and went out of their way to help with anything.

We did get to see a great white shark on the trip which is incredibly lucky and it went passed multiple times so we watched it from the glass underneath the boat and also in the cage. We really liked that this is a more ethical experience than most shark tours (we knew this in advance which is why we booked it) and there is no chumming of the water meaning sharks do not associate people with food and also so people don’t associate sharks with monsters (the shark was relaxed and inquisitive rather than hunting)

A major benefit of this tour in comparison to other tours I have been on is that they don’t rush passed everything on the way to Neptune Islands (where the great whites are often seen) they instead tell everyone when they can see dolphins and tuna so that we could go out and watch them, they are not in rush to get back home they want to give everyone there the best time and put the customer first

I was pretty badly sea sick nut don’t let this put you off I am susceptible to it, I don’t think anyone else on the boat was struggling with it but the staff were so friendly and checked on me very often and offered loads of different things to make me feel better. And I was still able to get in the cage twice and the submersible glass twice as well so had an amazing time.

There was plenty of food and it was very nice, we cant think of anything to fault them, we would definitely recommend any of our friends to do this tour in the future and we would definitely do it again if we are...
