Nano refused to honor the warranty on my JBL wireless headphones, which basically disintegrated over the course of 6 months, even though the warranty was still good for more than one more month and I still have the warranty card. (all plastic flaked off the cords and headphones cracked in two). I brought the headphones here to Nano Showroom, because they said they could then transfer then to the service center for me, since it's farther away by Orrusey market. First I went to the JB:L shop at AEON 1, but it was closed. Then I called the JBL service center, they said I could bring the headphones here (*all this for a $45 pair of defective headphones - it's hard to find the time).
As mentioned, warranty was still good for more than one month when I brought it in back in January 2023,, but Nano refused to even attempt a repair, which would have been acceptable to me if there could be no exchange. I had to encase the main cable myself in some clear plastic tubing and use gaffer tape on the other parts to hold it together. Guy who appeared to be boss or manager at this location said first that they couldn't repair or exchange it because 'they don't know how I used it' (*I used it normally for exercise and the plastic just flaked off and cracked on its own). Then, in the same conversation, he said they couldn't fix or exchange it because 'I used it too hard'. I asked him how he knew I 'used it too hard' if he wasn't there to see me use it? PLUS: why would that matter anyway?
The product fell apart on its own and the warranty was still good. so I asked what good a warranty is if it can't be used. Then, the manager of Nano Showroom asked me why I waited so long to bring the product in - I told him I'd been to the AEON 1 location where I'd bought it some time ago, but the store had closed down, and this was the next step in getting it serviced. And I had called the service center and they said I could bring it to the showroom (a lot of time and effort for a busy person to get a $45 pair of headphones fixed)
Plus, I added, if the warranty is still good - why would it matter when I brought the product in for servicing? Then the manager guy at Nano showroom became irritated and shouted that I couldn't have any more warranties on any more JBL products if I buy from Nano. Anyway, as of today, they still haven't honored the warranty, so am posting this here. Of course if they change their mind and honor the warranty with a repair or exchange, I will remove this review. In short: the manager/owner here is quite a disagreeable guy, and should not be representing JBL and their products. (*Note: regular staff is nice at least, that's why Nano Experience center gets two stars in this review and not one star...)
I bought a JBL speaker from this shop and within just 2 days the sound quality became terrible. I tried contacting them but received no response at all. Since I didn’t get any help, I reached out to JBL support — and that’s when I realized something was wrong. They informed me that the serial number wasn’t recognized, meaning the product is not genuine. Based on my experience, this shop is selling fake JBL products. Very disappointed and I feel cheated. Stay away and save your money!
I just bought a JBL Clip 5 that was supposed to be new, but the unit came with this AWFUL white tape on its side that was impossible to remove - trying just made it worse. How could anybody put white sticky-tape onto a honeycomb speaker and not guess you can never get it off? (And to sell it as NEW!)
