I phoned this business on Wednesday of last week asking how long it would take for me to have my Samsung Galaxy S9+ screen repaired, and they told me it would take about 2 hours and then gave me the price. I then dropped in the next morning, 15 minutes before they opened, on Thursday, to drop my phone off and have it repaired. The man at the counter gave me a slip of paper, I filled out my information, and handed him the phone with the expectation that it would be fixed in a couple of hours. He then told me that it would be ready the next day, Friday, because they were doing inventory, so they were too tied up that day.
I asked if I could come in Friday morning and just drop it off, and he said yes, just show up early so that I will have a better chance of getting it repaired, show up before someone else shows up to have their phone fixed and then that would push mine back. So, Friday morning, I showed up 30 minutes early. I waited until the gate was open at 10, I was first in line, and then I was told that they couldn't repair my phone that day because he said he just had an employee call in sick, so he was going to be behind that day, and said I could leave the phone and get it back tomorrow, on a Saturday. I said, that’s okay, I am going out of town this weekend so I would rather not leave it all weekend, and just said I will try again next week, he said okay sounds good.
Fast forward to today, the following Tuesday, I wait in front of the store at 930 until they open at 10 o'clock, and when I explain that I'm there to drop off my phone for repair, I'm told that there is over 100 phones in line in front of me to be repaired first, and that I'm looking at a couple of weeks before I can have my phone fixed. I then ask what can I do to make it easier, so I don't have to leave my phone for two weeks, and the same person I've talked to at all visits hauls out a piece of paper saying I can fill out a form like this one so I can hold my spot. I tell him that is my piece of paper that I filled out on Thursday (it has my name and information wrote down on it) and ask him where that puts me in line, and he said there is still a hundred phones in front of mine. So, I asked him how long I'm looking at and am told it will be a couple of weeks. He says my best bet is to buy another phone, pop the sim card in it and drop this one off and leave it with them.
So, to get any repairs done at this business, I need to first invest into another cell phone in addition to the almost $400 price tag it will be to repair my phone. I don't see how that makes any logical sense.
I feel like I am just being given the run around. I have been kind and courteous to this gentleman, and he has been kind to me, but telling me a different story every time I go in is just rubbing me the wrong way. I don't have the money to shell out for a new phone and also repair this one, and I can't just leave it for a couple of weeks as it is very important for my job.
Until I can get a better answer out of this business other than waiting a couple of weeks to fix the screen on a phone, I can't give this business any better than 1 star. I just want my phone repaired and have wasted 2 hours of my time when I should have just been told on Thursday morning that it would be a couple of weeks, not give me the run around.
My screen is getting to the point where it is losing all touch sensitivity, so at the rate I am going I will have to either purchase another phone from my service provider or repair the...
Read morePlease ANYONE, deal with Matt if you’re going to Mobile Klinik! I couldn’t even tell you how much this place and their outstanding customer service and just wanting to help you out goes far beyond any other place I’ve EVER been to or dealt with. I had my phone stolen and then thankfully found and brought back to me but it was missing the phone case, tempered glass, SIM card and SIM card tray that the card goes into my phone (iPhone 7). I was quoted from numerous places anywhere between $50-$80 for the little tray and the fastest I could get one would be 3-5 business days. Without this tray, your phone won’t be able to take a SIM and work. So pretty much I was SOL and would be able to have a working phone for about a week. I was running around the mall from place to place and Telus told me to check out Mobile Klinik. THANK GOODNESS that they did and that Matt was working. He was so helpful and went through just about every iPhone tray he had there until he found one that fit my phone and I could then go and get a new SIM from Telus right after with 10 minutes until closing to spare and had my phone working. If anyone is going to Mobile Kilinik just PLEASE do yourself a favour and deal with Matt. He is the...
Read moreI would put negative stars if I could. There is a female working at the Avalon Mall store that is the most belligerent service associate I have ever encountered. she refused to give me her name over the phone after insisting to argue with me about hearsay, would not disclose her name and abruptly hung the phone when asked what her name was and stated she did not have to tell me. Then today when I went to drop off phone and was confused why it would take at least 3 hours when the quote was for 2 hrs. discussing with 'D. J'. She began to be abusive towards me again and made slanderous remarks about my behavior over the phone, while 'D. J' the manager looked on. pathetically. These employees do not wear name tags and refuse to disclose even their first names except for 'D. J' for good reason being abusive towards paying customers in some pathetic power trip. These people are unfortunately the only people around to do warranty work, however they are not the only people skilled enough to do their jobs and should be removed from any service position, this experience has made me think twice before getting a new phone to make sure I won't have to take it to the Mobile Klinic...
