If I could give 0 stars I would. I had an absolute nightmare experience at tip top. myself and my husband went to try on his suit and get his measurements, this is when the shit show started. I walked into tip top and said âhello Iâm here for the ___ wedding and to get my husband measuredâ and the blonde lady (I donât know her name sadly and I did ask for it but she didnât tell me) said ok and started to look into the computer and then told me there was no wedding for said name and told me to call my sister in law and tell me what my husband needs to wear. I then processed to tell the lady that she was suppose to have that information and I should NOT have to call my sister in law to find out what her needs to wear as it was her job but she said no and I called my sister in law. So I called. Then went back to the worker and said you should know this information as a wedding place and thatâs when she laughed in my face and ignored me. I told her that the place was very unorganized and it was unprofessional of her to laugh in my face, you should have seen her face then. You donât make a customer tell you what someone has to wear in a wedding (I didnât even know what they needed to wear at that point of going in there) after doing the work for tip top that I shouldnât have had to do we finally got something to try on. So we go into the back she measures my husband and goes off again, about 10 minutes later she came with clothes too small (after measuring him) and we argued with her that it was to small and she finally got a shirt that fit after arguing. I shouldnât have had to argue for another size shirt because she said she knew what she was doing, my poor husband was busting out of the shirt. Pants were perfect but the shirt was a fight. Then the vest, she measured for a vest and we had to order online which was fine cause they didnât have it in store (the vest of course didnât fit). In the end of the day the whole experience was absolutely horrible and I will NEVER be back. I would avoid at all cost! Attached I have a photo of the way I received my husbands $200+ suit when leaving the store, and only finding out last month that all other groomsmen got nice garment bags for their suits? Like do better Tip Top.
Was suggested by a friend to check out Tip Top for a few things I might have been interested in purchasing for a upcoming event my wife and I will be attending. Upon entering the store, I had more than one employee simply look up from whatever it was they were doing (And from what it looked like, all they were doing was standing around chatting with each other) and then go back to it without greeting me at all. It may seem insignificant, but greeting a customer can go a long way. After poking around and not coming across the few specific items that I was recommended, I got the attention of one of the employees so I could inquire about what I was looking for. I had barely begun to list my items before the woman coldly asked "Are you shopping for yourself?" When I informed her that I was, she basically turned on her heels and told me "We won't have anything your size, go to George Richards by The Village" and walked away from me. I was so taken aback by the coldness and abruptness of her statement that I simply just walked out. I know that everyone can have their rough days, but when you work in a retail environment, don't you think that you should be doing your best to provide the best service that you can to all potential customers? I get that my size may be more suited for another store, but to be told so rudely that I might as well just leave because you have nothing in my size (Based totally on assumption, by the way) is very off-putting and the type of attitude that will have me NEVER recommending your store to any of my friends or family. Very disappointed.
Had a pretty rough experience here this morning (29/12/2023). We were looking for suits for a groom and 2 groomsmen while the best man was in town for Christmas. The sales associate helping us was pretty rude and made us feel as though we were wasting her time. She was not very attentive to us but, when she was helping us made sure to dismiss any of our concerns without any possible solution (for example, my brother did not have the right size to which she replied âoh well weâll just order itâ and promptly walked away). She was also very pushy and greeted us by asking us if we were planning on buying that day because she wasnât going to âwasteâ a fitting room for us. Overall, we were relatively content with the selection but we were grossly turned off by her demeanour and left before we truly had the chance to figure out what we wanted.
Update: we returned to the store and were helped by the assistant manager this time. She was lovely and attentive! Very helpful and managed to get us exactly what we were looking for! Because of this Iâve changed my overall rating from 1 star to 3
