Lidl Graniittitalo — Local services in Helsinki sub-region

One of the bigger Lidl stores in Helsinki central area. Really well located just next to Kamppi shopping center and easily accessible by public transportation. Selection is immense here and this is also one of the few Lidl stores that sell individual candies by weight which is great for people who want to choose their excessive source of carbohydrates. Service is sometimes great and sometimes a bit challenging.

I regularly visit here and for the most part there isn't nothing to complain though sometimes it's lacking service. I know that you probably shouldn't expect cashier line to say hi or hello when you pour your extensive shopping spree to the cashier line. However when I surprise cashier by saying something like "good morning" or "hello hello" I really would assume they would answer something else than nothing. This makes me sad - it doesn't make me angry. I know that sadly vast majority seems to ignore cashier completely because they're probably just thinking their own beautiful imperfect self.

So mostly nothing to complain here really. This is big place so of course you can find a lot more consuming here compared to the smaller Lidl stores. Sometimes there's a lot queuing which you should understand especially if you're coming here during rush hour. What did you expect? Dead silence? This establishment has the best price to quality/quantity so of course there's people here. If you want to come here when there's minimum amount of people - just come between those rush hours. In case you don't know: rush hours are from 6am to 10am and from 4pm to 8pm. Still vast majority are visiting here during these hours especially the later hours. The insufficient "hello" capability of some cashiers doesn't make my visit here less enjoyable so I still recommend this establishment if you're looking for better price and selection. only realized this spot existed on my final day. thanks for nothing, universe. it was genuinely so much cheaper and the quality was, i dare to whisper, even better. the fresh bakery section is just showing off. the pastries look and taste exactly like they belong in one of those aggressively expensive, fancy city bakeries. the cinnamon roll really twisted the knife. half the price of the one at the other supermarket, but literally the exact same thing. what a scam i've been running on myself. the bread is stellar too, especially the...

Lidl The Granite House (Graniittitalo) since 2017 provides an excellent shopping experience in the heart of Helsinki city centre. Lidl The Granite House is the flagship store and the largest Lidl in Helsinki. It is my favourite Lidl in Helsinki.

Lidl is an incredible grocery store with an excellent selection of anything you would want. Fresh Finnish and European berries, fruits and vegetables. Organic fruits, vegetables and food items, too. Fresh meat, chicken and fish. European delicacies every month. There is also a bakery. Everything smells so delicious and fresh. There are also cosmetic personal hygiene products and household cleaning products. Large selection of high quality clothing, accessories, homeware and tools. The establishment is clean and well organized. The service is great as well.
