Terrible service. Don’t ever buy alcohol here, especially as a foreigner. This store either has a very strict alcohol policy that only accepts certain types of ID, or their staffs are just rude and discriminative. I was trying to buy a singular can of beer of 4.8% alcohol but the cashier refused to accept my id. I had no problem using an European resident permit to purchase alcohol anywhere else since it is a government issued document that clearly states my age and a matching picture, only this store refused to accept it for no reason. I asked them to provide proof of why it cannot be verified and they keep insisting it’s the law and other stores are doing it wrong, but didn’t end up showing me any evidence. Worst part is they call the security who accused me for not having a Finnish ID, as if I’m illegally being here. Absolutely traumatic communication with these staffs. I’m sorry but it just feels like pure discrimination targeting my young look and race. Won’t visit again.
store is okay. nothing to complain about but the staff is racist. Was waiting for my train since it was raining outside and looked around and actually bought 4 items. still had to wait around 30 more minutes and a female security guard with tattoos came up to me saying i couldn't be there because i was there for too long which just sounded really unreasonable. Anyways i told her my situation and she kept being weird about it so i stood outside the store at the entrance of the mall. she literally came and stood outside keeping tabs at me and came to me when my train was 15 minutes away saying "since ur train is close, its time for you to go". was a pretty weird case of racial profiling and my first such experience in the country. Other people were there for longer and the same guard was just standing there talking to them yet somehow had a problem with me being there. the cashier was in on it too which was something that i found weird. Gonna avoid the store from now on
Hello
We had a problem in S-market Sokos Helsinki and I see it's not the first time this happens in your stores :
We wanted to buy pastries, the information was not clear. We couldn't get out of the ticket.
We asked the cashier to help us, he told us to manage by ourselves. Then we say we don't understand, we don't want to buy. He said we have the obligation to buy the items.
Then we went to the checkout and once we paid, he came to ask us to check the labels, he told us it was not good and that we have to go back with him.
I don't understand, first time I asked him to help me, he don't want. Then once I paid, he came back for trouble and now he can go with us.
I tell him this, he called security and said we have to pay once more or he call the police.
First and last time in here. I do think someone should sue your store.
I hope karma exist
