Stavros Tou Notou — Local services in Athens

This is like an old Athena classic. It’s a music venue that time has left untouched, I hadn’t been here for a while and it felt like yesterday. So the good stuff is the bands are great, you always get good ensembles, I think it’s one of the favorite scenes for musicians, and one of the reasons must be that: It sounds great!! They really do pay attention to the sound and the result is amazing! The sound engineers know their business, and for a live stage it’s pretty spotless in that regard. Now, some of the negatives: I found the chairs to be really uncomfortable, and the place is really crowded, you can’t move around even if you are in one of the “good” tables. Also, I find the smoking to be a problem for me, I feel like I have to throw away my clothes after each visit. If you go alone to this venue you may face some bewildering behaviour regarding seating. I was not allowed to sit downstairs and told it was for reservations only. I was fine with that, and they told me to sit either upstairs or at the bar. Went upstairs which was almost empty and then asked if I could sit somewhere else on the side !! So I pay exactly the same as everyone else but cant choose where I sit even though rhe venue is relatively empty at the time??? I left because I was only there to see the opening act any way. And did not like the vibe at all. But as I left there were no more people coming into the bar!! We were a group of 4 when we went to the Club on the 04.02.23 to see Zervakis,Loulatzis and Kyramargios. We called in advance to ask about prices and the guy on the phone said 130 Euros for any bottle of alcohol and 140Euros for 2 Bottles of wine. Until now everything is fine.
