Dear Team,
I am writing to share our recent experience during a visit to your Madurai showroom, which was part of our 18th wedding anniversary celebration.
We had planned to exchange an old chain and purchase a new one in the 12 to 14 grams range. At the outset, we clearly informed the sales representative of our intent. However, sales representative said that only chains above 16 grams were available beyond the 12-gram range. This was quite disappointing, especially on such a special occasion. We expected a broader selection, but the sales representative repeatedly stated that no other collections were available.
After finalizing a chain and completing the exchange, we later noticed that more collections were indeed present. When we inquired, the sales representative mentioned those were “short chains” and might not be suitable for us. Despite the confusion, we chose to go ahead with the purchase.
At the time of billing, we were informed that an excess amount was available. We mentioned that the old chain weighed approximately 12.600 grams and the new one around 11.800 grams and suggested that the difference—along with the monthly scheme amount we had paid—could be adjusted. Since refunds were not offered, we chose to purchase a 1-gram ring using the balance.
Initially, we were told an additional Rs. 900 would be required. After requesting a discount, the salesperson checked internally and informed us that the additional amount would be Rs. 500. Later, upon speaking with the manager, it was clarified that the Rs. 500 would be borne by Bhima Jewelers due to a mistake by the salesperson. We truly appreciate this gesture—it was the first time we experienced a jewelry store refunding a customer, and we sincerely acknowledge and thank you for that.
Lastly, we had to request the complimentary gold coin, which was not provided during the initial handover. It was given only after we followed up with the manager.
In summary:
The sales team was not proactive in showing available collections, particularly in the mid-range weight category (13–15 grams).
The overall experience felt rushed and lacked the warm, attentive engagement we had expected.
The focus seemed more on completing the transaction than ensuring customer satisfaction.
We kindly urge Bhima Jewelers to provide equal attention to all customers, including middle-class families who may be purchasing even a single gram. Every customer matters, especially when choosing your brand for life’s memorable moments.
Thank you for taking the time to consider this feedback. We hope it contributes to improving the in-store experience for future customers.
Regards, Arun Prakash. S
Worst worst worst. Will never step into Bhima jewellery near Pothys, Madurai. I entered inside around 1:45pm today. Just now 5:31pm i came out. Such a very good customer service. No one is responding pleasantly. Every one is rude. Then why are they coming to this job. The one at the billing counter in the ground floor gold section, with a long mustache behaved in a way that we are begging at him. Damn sure Bhima will lose many customer today. No doubt in that. Also regarding parking, the one at Bhima who sends us for parking just told to go to Perumal kovil parking. When i went dropping my family at Bhima, the parking token man said that parking is allowed only when driver sits with the car. Else dont park here. My family is waiting for me in Bhima. Iam standing with my car in parking. What a sense of that parking guide. Iam repeatedly calling that Bhima, they are saying that a driver will reach to you. No one came. I parked the car aside and came by walking to Bhima. In Bhima, a lot of sequences went off. Thats my fate. Returning to parking, my car was blocked by a Innova car. That parking token man said that car belongs to customer of Bhima only, call Bhima. I called Bhima, they again said just wait for 2 min, our driver will call you. No one called. I waited for 45 min in damn sun. Then the driver came from another car which was parked another side. He was watching mobile, sitting inside AC of customers car. What a horrible day because of my thinking to go to Bhima. Thank you Bhima and the staffs inthe branch.
What the hell happened to Bhima madurai? More than a Decade my family use to purchase gold here. But last 2 times I had worst experience. Staffs are not friendly and showing attitude. Harsh response . No one cares if you wait. If we ask they will ask to wait. Im typing this review right front of Bhima came out with frustration. Last timw came and redeemed gold scheme and purchased not just a small purchase. But same on that I use raise my voice and then one came and assisted But today again same was waiting for long time okay i can understand crowd so waited calmly then new staff came standing infront of my mom. We asked for chains she said wait another person will come. All on a sudden she called person standing behind me and started assisted again we asked they were asking to wait( answer sounds harsh) then we decided leave they were seeing But no one stopped us. Lady in reception asked us to come tomorrow. OmG Asked for manager to complain But they didn't call manager instead trying console em and asking to come tomorrow. I never ever not coming again to Bhima anymore. Thank you continue the same service loose your loyal customers like me.
