Francesco was a fantastic guide extremely comfortable open top car he was very knowledgeable giving us the history of Matera and stories of the films made in the town. He showed us video of the major festival of the town which happens at the start of July and explained the history and significance of the festival we wish we could be there for it !! When we stopped at the square to visit the church he very kindly booked our table for dinner at the restaurant in the square with views to the valley and the town illuminated at night. Fantastic two trips around Matera Sassi and the new part with two marvellous persons: Imma and Francesco. They shared with us so much history and knowledge beside been very pleasant and nice.
