Spark Store Whakatāne — Local services in North Island

Absolutely amazing, never been to a Spark store like this one. Entered the store and although all 4 staff were busy, one acknowledged that someone would be with me shortly. All were young staff, one was busy with a very young boy and whanau and the boy asked a gazillion questions and never once did I hear the staffer not answer him or be rude, all the while still telling the whanau what to do next for the phone install, amazing. I was requiring advise on ear pieces and this staffer was so helpful, going through all the options giving me good and bad for them. While the staffer was out the back looking for more information for me, another staffer asked if she could help me. Never had or heard of service like this in a Spark store, and I've been in plenty around NZ. Well done...

Very poor customer service. 84 year old having problems with her phone.. was told she needed a new sim card. That was sorted but her contacts etc were not transferred across, so back to spark she went, only to be told that her old sim card had been thrown away and they couldn't find it in the bin either. Then she was told that she had a new number altogether, when she had wanted to keep her previous one. The number thing was sorted out, but all her contacts were lost, because Spark had thrown away/lost the old sim card. That is poor customer service towards anybody, but even more so towards our elderly who need...

I can't recommend enough ,Sam ,one of your employees at the Whakatane branch. He installed voluntarily and with such goodwill a Chromecast in my home after work so I could have Net Flix. I was completely lost as to what I should do with this complicated procedure. He installed it and went through it step by step so I could operate it myself I am very grateful and a very satisfied customer....
