Diving Coiba — Local services in Hicaco

This was my 3rd time diving with Boris and Kony; 9 dives total myself. This last trip I did one day at Contreras and another at Coiba (Hammerhead and Ray central!!). They somehow manage to outdo themselves each and every time! They run a very professional organization; timely, well documented, quick communication, amazing guide skills, friendly boat crew, and, maybe the best, crazy good ability to spot underwater critters. But they aren't just business, they are also incredible friendly and great to talk to. I enjoyed my trips with them so much I recommended their Discover Scuba experience to very close friends of mine (they have never done diving before) and they all felt very safe and comfortable with Boris; one of them is getting certified right now because of this experience. P.S They lunch they offer is amazing Panamanian fair!! With so many diving options for Coiba you really shouldn't look any further than Boris and Kony; cant imagine going somewhere else after diving with them!

Boris and the Dive Coiba team are phenomenal--very low-key, professional and experienced in the area. They adapted well to different group levels and took us to beautiful dive sites.

What I loved most was the relaxed nature of the Dive Coiba experience: no extensive talks, very easy-going team, sensitive and nature-focused. Everything you want from a dive experience (I've witnessed many dive leaders get stressed out and saw none of this on our trip).

In total, we did 3 dives with Boris and his team:

1. We saw sharks on the first dive including a 6-foot pregnant shark
2. Turtles on the second dive
3. Whales, dolphins and mating turtles on the boat trip home after the third dive

The group was really fun and Boris, being trilingual (English, Spanish, French) is the perfect guide who brings a unique experience and background.

Highly recommend to all who like diving and enjoy a relaxing, gorgeous, unforgettable experience.

What an amazing group of experts to go diving in Coiba with. They made it easy to communicate via WhatsApp ahead of time. The equipment provided was top end and in great condition. Boris, the base manager, was super flexible in teaching my partner to dive for the first time, as she signed up to do a Discovery Dive. He listened attentively to her concerns and questions as a first time diver, and helped her become totally comfortable by the afternoon. Meanwhile, I was able to dive with the rest of the group and even dive together with my partner by the end. I can’t thank the team at Diving Coiba enough, and especially Boris for the incredible pictures and videos he kindly shared with us at the end. This is a team of passionate diving experts that are capable of listening to your needs and planning curated diving experiences. You all are amazing. Thank you for the incredible experience.
