Keelung — Local services in Keelung

Medium-sized station, which helps travelers to quickly understand the layout, even on their first visit. Being a terminal station also adds to the station friendly feeling. The station is also modern and clean (recently fully renovated), with all the usual services like lockers, shops, ATMs, restrooms... Last but not least, it's an easy walk to Keelung Port, Keelung Night Market, or the Keelung...

Its a bit of a walk from the night market, but easily doable. The walk will involve an overhead bridge, so if you're wheelchair bound, just do the main Street instead of the pedestrian walk way.

Station itself is under construction and has 2 7s and an info center. Info center is pretty friendly, but hope you speak the language. Taiwan is not for folks who only...

Faintly pointless and grandiose edifice serviced by the same very slow and infrequent service that pottered into the old station.

Even more baffling is the decision to 'preserve' the concrete box of no architectural merit that was the ticket hall.

The Japanese-era station was one of the more attractive in Taiwan (perhaps only Hsinchu surpasses it), why not recreate...
