BARSTOW DOLLAR — Local services in Barstow

Update, 11/20/24, employees are sarcastic and rude, manager refused to come to the phone, and employee hung up in my face, I know this because the phone slammed in my ear. Visited this store Nov 16 2024 and had the worst experience. I already travel over 20 miles to come to this store. I asked to use the bathroom and was told that their bathroom was for employees only. Later on, a Hispanic male asked for the bathroom and was allowed to use it, another customer. When I brought this up with the manager, she gave the excuse that they usually allow kids, elderly and disabled people use the bathroom, mind you there are no signs stating this. I'm disabled and so is my spouse, yet, were discrimated against because we weren't Hispanic, as the customer and manager are. AfterI wait in line, the asian girl with glasses, very rudely, walks away from me, doesn't tell me anything, and makes it a point to assist every other customer in the store except me. I guess I had too many items, either way, these employees were rude, discriminatory, disrespectful, made excuses, I had to repeatedly ask for the owners name. So in a nutshell, I was discrimated against, treated awful, customer service was very poor, disability rights were violated, aka ADA violations, excuses were made, I was charged for items I did not get and racially discriminated against. My information was not taken to give to the owner, I was just given more attitude for bringing these incidents up with management. Apology means nothing if the behavior is repeated. This experience was very uncomfortable, horrible, and unprofessional. Manager refused to come to the phone, employees are rude and sarcastic, as well as hung up in my face. Tried to call back, they won't answer the phone....

This place, I have a lot to say wow. To start off and tank top is 12 dollars. That’s crazy, this is supposed to be a “dollar store” well it’s not you buy 4 items and you already spent 100 dollars. I think this is a great place to shop!! The prices are very good. Example: I got these coats that were originally from Sears and had a price tag of $70, but Barstow Dollar was selling them for $19+tx!!!!!!!
