This place is a gem. Seriously, you need to head out there. I wanted to take my 5 year-old daughter to a Christmas tree farm to create similar wonderful memories I have as a kid visiting a real tree farm. Saw that TX-Ture was only 25 mins from Lewisville, so we made plans to go Sunday morning (12/4). We went pretty early and were the first ones there. The guys in the parking lot greeted us with big welcoming smiles and happily answered my daughter's immediate questions. The short walk through the winding wooded drive was pretty great. It built an aura of excitement and mystery for what we'd find. Once we got to the clearing, my daughter locked eyes on the Alpacas gingerly grazing on some hay and quickly ran to the fence line. As she struggled to give scratches to each of them, we were approached by Russell, the owner of the farm. Let me tell you about Russell.... This guy, in the span of a few mins, became me and my daughter's best friend for the time we were there. I cannot overstate how joyous, welcoming, caring, informative and just plain awesome that guy is. Seriously. I don't want to give away what transpired but at one point, my daughter was roaming the field feeding an entire herd of Alpacas. (Sylvie was her favorite). She has been talking to anyone that will listen about her Alpaca adventures. The fire pit was heavenly on the chilly morning. The shop... what a perfect little shop. All of the Alpaca products are incredible in addition to the soaps, oils, syrup, beeswax, etc. TX-Ture branded. Awesome. The trees on site were easily the best cared for and beautiful trees I've seen in a very long time. It's obvious how much this family cares. While not yet able to cut our own (2023 they'll be ready), it really didn't matter. The smell of fresh pine fills the air. The kid's train is not to be missed. My daughter was in awe driving through the Christmas tree field. The entire staff was friendly, happy and genuinely appreciated that we visited. You don't find that anymore. The Grinch was on point. His voice was PERFECT. My only suggestion, and this is nit-picky, is to have more country-style Christmas decorations on sale in the shop. I woulda cleaned them out. Do yourself and your kiddos a favor and go visit this local farm for Christmas and for the family/craft beer/music nights that we will be attending in the future. Russell - this note is just for you. I cannot thank you enough for your incredible hospitality during our visit. You made perfect memories for my daughter and I. I will always be grateful for the wonderful morning you shared with us. Thank you Sir, you and your entire staff are THE BEST.

I went to Tx-Ture Farm and watched their Annual Alpaca Shearing Festival. Very disappointed. Alpacas were adorable and people over there were friendly. But when Alpaca shearing, there were 2 peoples to perform: one (older) shearing alpaca’s fur and the other (younger) assisted him. Before shearing several peoples put alpaca on the floor were very gentle. But when start shearing the one assistant ‘grab’ alpaca’s ears even the alpaca already on the floor. I heard the one performs (older) told him ‘Do not grab alpaca’s ears’ and he still did. Why those people so gentle put alpaca on the floor but he need to ‘grab’ alpaca’s ears. Some people told me the same ’why he grabs alpaca’s ears?’

I did not finished the whole event, can't stand watched.

I can’t image someone grab my ears!!!

This was my first time to watch Alpaca Shearing Festival and I will not...

What an experience! Went for the first time with kids and I ended up enjoying the most :)

Tour guide/owner is super friendly and down to earth person. I think price is reasonable as well.

Alpacas were super friendly and fun to play with. You will feed, walk, and play with them without getting rushed or anything like that. Our little one had absolutely no problem with the Alpacas even though her height barely reached the body of Alpaca :) Just listen and follow the instruction of the guide and you will be absolutely fine.

Plenty of free on-site parking are available. Make sure to take hat and water if going in summer.

Do checkout their gift shop. To me items were expensive but everything is organic. I will...
