Bad experience with the cashier personnel - I'll never go there again! The shop has 4 check out counters and when I arrived to just buy some stamps there was one person at each counter (or even one free counter), so I walked down the line to the counters and queued behind one of them (no 2). The cashier at this counter told me I had to stand at the end of the line, however, I did not understand what he meant as I was obviously the next person to be served given that there were no other people waiting to be served. I thus retreated from counter 2 back to counter 4 and started waiting there. While I was waiting there, the cashier from counter 2 actually served other people arriving after me and THEN told me AGAIN I had to wait in I don't know what imaginary line of his. I still don't know what I did "wrong" - it is completely incomprehinsible to me. After all, there actually was no one else besides me waiting to be served and I actually WAS waiting two times behind the people currently being served. In the end, I left without buying anything as the personnel was very unfriendly and unhelpful. I have never experienced such a...
Read moreI have found the Staples store on Stevens Creek in Cupertino to be a good place to shop for office supplies.
Recently I saw their advertisement for a sale item; went to the store and asked an employee to find it, which she promptly did. Then I asked for a sale of computer/printer paper, and she took me direly there so I bought a ream of 500 sheets for $7.49. The the other item was two USB thumb drives with 32 GB for $12.99, which was a little bit less for some online items and a little bit more for others.
In previous times, the employees have always been helpful.
Each time I have been to the Staples store, the cashier is always there. I value a business that retains its employees, which is increasingly rare these days.
I urge consumers to give serious consideration to shopping at brick and mortal stores, otherwise someday they may all be gone thanks to the powerful online shopping options. Recently I checked for an item at Amazon and found their price was several dollars above that of Walmart.
There is plenty of free street-level parking in front of the...
Read moreI went here to buy a whiteboard, and I had to choose one of the ones in the back, since those seem to be some of the only ones in good condition.
Parking: The parking was not busy at all and we were able to get a spot right in front of the store.
Customer Service: The service was average. The desk where there is a sign saying "Customer Service," Kris said they don't take returns apparently. Wow. Thankfully, they did let us return the duct tape at check out.
Best Part: We were able to find everything we needed.
Worst Part: When you say customer service, do customer service. And also, this place closes so early, 6:00 PM.
Tips/Recommendations: There is a Target across the street if you want actual customer service, and a wider variety of equipment.
Return: I mean, it is closer...
