Very disappointing with the grooming dept! I booked an appointment on march 31st for April 6th 3:15pm. I was contacted on April 6th at 8am and told the groomer was getting covid symptoms and if I could reschedule. I resecheduled that day for April 6th at 12pm. Then I was contacted again and told by the groomer if I could reschedule AGAIN, so i did for April 11th at 12pm. AGAIN, I was contacted on April 8th and was asked if I can reschedule for April 11th now at 11:15am. On April 11th (day of appointment) I was contacted once AGAIN at 8:43am but missed the call. Called back at 10am and was told I requested to come in earlier, I told the groomer I never requested to come in earlier Ive been having cancelation and reschedules from the store. She gave me the run around like i was the one constantly rescheduling. Then she asked can you come in earlier, I said no I can come in for 11:15am as scheduled. She said that was fine then. I got a Confirmed email at 10:11am with the appt for 11:15am on april 11th and then a CANCELATION email at 10:12AM. She then called me back at 10:24am and told me she got stuck with a "thing/meeting"đ AND WANTED TO RESCHEDULE ME AGAIN!!!!!!! she said she can only do a bath but not the bath and groom that was booked. I Told her I been getting rescheduled by them for the past 2 weeks and i go in to Have my BABY on April 12th and wanted my dog bathed/groomed before my son came home. I was sooooo annoyed!!! Then she asked if I wanted to cancel, I asked do I have a choice, you already cancelled it at 10:12AM WITHOUT LETTING ME KNOW!! THERE WAS NO SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE, NOTHING! JUST EXCUSES, LIES, RESCHEDULING & CANCELLATIONS đ I WORKED WITH THEM WITH ALL THE RESCHEDULING AND STILL GOT SCREWED...
   Read moreI brought my 14 year old blind Shitzu to be groomed for the first and what will be the only time at the Petco in Edison NJ The groomer seemed clueless I asked her to do a â pup cut â and she had no clue what it was so I had to show her a picture My dog is 14 and blind and has always been the anxious type .. u would think the groomer would be more compassionate and understanding but she wasnât When I went to pick her up I asked how she did and she basically told me â I donât think sheâs a good fit for Petco grooming so she canât come back a gainâ what a joke lol Sheâs a sweet rescue dog who has anxiety .. is that a reason to say she can no longer come to be groomed there?? The groomer said she was moving some during the cut ok but arenât the groomers trained to handle all types of dogs with different personalities etc? I hefer had this issue with any other groomers in the 5 years Iâve had her and sheâs groomed regularly . If u have a dog whoâs older, has anxiety ( alot of dogs do) do not go here the groomer is clueless!! There are plenty of better places who handle dogs much better.. all dogs have different personalities thatâs part of the job as a professional groomer!! Iâve been having my dog groomed every 8 weeks and never ever been treated like this ! Do yourself and your dog a favor and find a better place ! Plus the charge for the items they use for the haircut and bath ( an extra 8 $) insane !! Stay away from this place there r many more professional places local who do a better job and know how to handle all...
   Read moreI was truly disheartened by my recent experience when I had scheduled a training session with Penelope. My card was charged for the session, and I even received multiple confirmations and reminders in preparation for the appointment. However, upon my arrival, the disappointment began to set in.
To my dismay, no one greeted me, and the only employee was preoccupied at the cash register, tending to other customers. The training area seemed abandoned. It was only after I finally asked the woman at the register where I should check in for the dog training session that the true extent of my disappointment became apparent.
She nonchalantly informed me, "Oh, Penelope is no longer with the company, and I'm not sure what to tell you. You can call the manager on Monday to request a refund." There was no effort made to resolve the situation or even a simple apology for the significant oversight on their part. I felt completely dismissed as a customer, as she didn't even make eye contact and continued to focus on the other customers.
What adds further insult to injury is that their booking system still allows clients to schedule sessions with Penelope or fog dog training in general, and it proceeds to charge their credit cards for services that are clearly no longer available.
