Ordered pokemon cards online for in store pickup because they were half off for their early black friday sale. Gamestop is suppose to give you a 3 day window to pick up in store and I needed to run to enfield on the third day after work anyways so I put off grabbing them thinking it wouldn't be an issue as I've done the same thing before at other stores and they always held them until the very end of the third day; The last store I ordered from in west springfield actually even gave me a call to remind me which was really cool.
But day to pick them up comes, I get out of work, get ready to head there and check my order in the gamestop app and see they cancelled my order. I was confused but hoped it was just a mistake so I called and was informed they did cancel the order because they only will hold for 3 days. I told her that it was the third day and should still have time but she said they cancel any order exactly 3 days from the time of order. And it's not an automatic thing, they manually do it.
It's really just bad customer service to not hold them until the end of the day or at least inform me that they're going to be overly strict about the exact time. She said the district manager makes them do it that way but I don't know how true that is or if they just wanted to cancel it quickly so they could buy it or sell it to someone they knew since I know other stores wait...
Read moreI've always loved Gamestop, it's always got great deals and merchandise. However... Today, I had a bad experience in Enfield. I went in to inquire about the Pro Edition of Kingdom Hearts 3. Most of the employees were kind, friendly, and helpful. Until I got to the counter with my other purchases and asked about the preorder. Hey, Gamestop? Being treated like an idiot by someone probably half my age isn't how Gamestop should be allowing their employees to act. After this experience, I've decided that I may either go to the Tolland Gamestop, or shop on Amazon instead. My other gripe is with Gamestop itself, since apparently it's app is more important than its in-store service. You can't preorder a system in the store, only in the app? Some of us prefer the shopping experience and talking to friendly employees. None of this is in any offense to the other young gentlemen that were there, they were model employees. Very disappointed after shopping there...
Read more5 years ago when I worked here I would have given a 5 star rating, but when you go in to get a game, treated with nothing but rudeness, hostility, and a argumentative tone from Kevin's in pikachu hat voice. Simple questions like the new game that released today is it better on playstation or xbox, says he doesn't know... so he couldnt even recomend a favorite, he wouldn't look up the price and if they had any used modern warfare games, and most importantly my friend who was just talking and being friendly gets kicked out because he stated the fact for charityabout returns being up to 48 hrs which is on the receipt for game launch. Extremely disappointed with the service and the realization of why the enfield one keeps getting rehires and has a 3.9 star review.
A employee must know his stuff and help customers but Kevin did not, he made people feel unwelcome and when he was wrong on something that ligit states in the recept at the bottom, he...
