Let me start off by saying that I will never again purchase another vehicle from this dealer, nor will I ever reccomend them to anyone else. There is zero communication between the employees of this company. My husband spent hours negotiating a deal on a truck that he test drove and thoroughly liked. This was on a Tuesday. He was guaranteed that he could pick up the vehicle 2 days later, on Thursday. At 9:30pm on Wednesday night he received a call that the vehicle would not be ready because they had not received the funds from the financing lender. My husband called multiple times on Thursday to get insight about whether the vehicle would be ready for pick up on Friday, and no one could give him a straight answer. Every time he called he was told that someone would be reaching out to give him a definitive time of when the vehicle would be ready, yet after hours of waiting we never received a call. Finally, at 7:30pm, after multiple attempts at trying to reach someone, my husband received a text message from the salesman guaranteeing that his truck would be ready on Friday, anytime after 12. The dealership is about a 45 minute drive from our house. My husband arrives around 1pm on Friday and is told that the vehicle is ready, and just needs to be registered. 30 minutes later, the salesman comes out and says unfortunately they can not register the truck because the servers were down, and that they had no idea when they would be working again. Furious, my husband came back home with no truck. He was promised the vehicle would be delivered with a full tank of gas to our home once it was able to get registered. Apparently the registry servers never came back up, because the vehicle was not delivered. Fast forward to Monday, my husband calls when they open. The salesman says that the systems are STILL down, and the managers are all in a meeting, but he will receive an answer by 10:30am. But of course, no one called. So again, my husband had to reach out looking for an answer. Now the manager he spoke to said we would be notified by noon. Again...no call. Once he finally contacted another manager they informed him that the servers were working, but the truck would NOT be ready until later that day. My husband even offered to drive back to Framingham AGAIN to pick up the truck instead of having it delivered, but they said it still would not be ready, regardless. Completely unacceptable. Again, they guaranteed that the vehicle would be delivered that evening with a full tank of gas. After hours of not hearing from anyone, my husband called at 5:30pm looking for an update. He was told that the car was registered and that the salesman would be leaving the dealership at 6:30pm. The truck finally arrived to our house Monday night, after 8:30pm. Almost a full week after purchase. It had only a little more than a quarter tank of gas. He was told that they would be giving us a gas card in place of having a filled tank upon delivery. Three days later, after not hearing from anyone, my husband had to reach out and inquire about the promised gas card. We finally received it, and realized it was for a mere $25. It cost us almost $50 to fill the tank after the truck was delivered. After all the trouble and frustration of dealing with this company, the issue is not worth pursuing any further. The customer service that this dealership exhibits is next to none. The only bright side at the end of this tunnel is that we will never have to deal with this company again. If it weren't for the 5 hard inquiries on my credit from this process, I would have cancelled the transaction altogether and gone elsewhere. But the thought of having to start the process all over again was just too exhausting, and not worth more damage to my credit. So we gave our business to a company that could not have cared less about us, just to get things over and done with. A company full of empty promises and null guarantees. It was most definitely NOT a pleasure doing business with them, and it will never happen again. Save yourself the hassle and...

So Direct auto mall has competitive pricing and shady business practices. They had a car I was interested in. I went to the dealership. What should have been a quick stop and look turned into a 5 hour stay at the dealership. We went through the course of a deal. At the end I walked away stating I would call him back with a decision.
This was a Saturday. Come Monday I decided I would take the car and went to the dealership after work.
I completed the paperwork with the finance folks and at the end was informed it would take 7 days to prep the vehicle.
I have purchased many vehicles. 2 maybe 3 days tops is the most I have ever waited to pick something up. I inquired with the salesman if we could get the car ready sooner. As all it needed was 4 tires. I was informed that the reason for the delay is that they have to receive a check from the finance company before they will release the vehicle. I even spent time as a finance manager myself, never once have I heard this excuse. Bank issues a promise of funds and it's as good as cash.
Now comes the interesting part. I called the bank. They never heard of me. had any record of me or any information pertaining to me purchasing a vehicle. So I emailed my salesperson Derek and asked him to research this. (This is Tuesday night) Wednesday I did not hear anything from anyone. Emailed again to the salesman and the general information. no response. Finally about 2pm I called the dealership and asked to speak to Derek. What a shock, he is not available. His manager gets on the phone. Trying to explain why I was calling he would not let me get a word in edgewise. Continuously over talking me.
Now, truly annoyed I ask for his manager. In enters Domingo!. For those of you not familiar with the facility (Which looks more like a bad beat up diner stuck someplace between the salt flats and Arizona) Domingo sits atop a raised platform in the rear of the room in front of some very tinted windows. Reminds me of the slave overseer). Domingo gets on the phone, I remind him that he and I spoke on Monday evening when I was there about getting the vehicle done a little sooner than 7 days. After explaining why I was now concerned with the financing and the wait time (I mean, am I buying a car, or a firearm?) Domingo's response was solely the most effective thing that could be said to at this time a potential customer. "I was going to try to help you out by getting your car done sooner, but since you call my store and question my policies like this I have no desire to assist you"
Needless to say, I purchased a car, exactly like the one I was looking at. From another dealership at a better price, interest rate and less miles. If you are thinking of buying a car here because you think that perhaps you need them because they can work with less than perfect credit? Think again. These people are crooks. If they treated me like this BEFORE they had my money just imagine what they would have done once I took possession of the car..
STAY AWAY!! There are many far more trustworthy dealers in a short distance away. Don't let them fool you into thinking they are there to help you, or that they are working for you. Interest rate from this place was almost 15%. I wound up with 9%.
Beware. The negative reviews are true.
Good Luck
Update: Apparently after my loan had been approved and I decided not to proceed with the purchase due to their arrogance and disrespect. Now I get a letter from the bank stating that the loan had never been approved. Interesting penalty to hit the credit like that after they treat someone so horrifically. Next call - Attorney General.
See below from the marketing team. I keep thinking if the disrespect is this severe before they have the deal completed. Imagine what it would be after it is done?...
Read moreThis lengthy review is for Direct Auto Mall and it should not be reflected on Rodolfo (the sales associate that helped me - he was great). If it weren't for him I'd give them no stars. I went to Direct because my family is expanding and it's time to purchase a larger vehicle. I purchased my first car at Direct, 8 years ago, and had a great experience - hence the reason for my return. My initial visit was to test drive a few of their SUVs. I made this very clear from the very beginning that I wasn't going to purchase anything that day until I figured out which vehicle would work best for me overall (price, brand, etc.). Rodolfo completely understood this and was very accommodating and helpful in trying to find what would be that perfect fit for me. The last vehicle I wanted to test drive was an Acura MDX - however the vehicle wasn't there at the moment. I told him it was fine, that I'd return another day since my intention was never to purchase. I did start the initial application process. I made very clear that my credit is NOT to be pulled since I am NOT purchasing a vehicle - I was assured that my credit wouldn't be pulled. I started the application, because I genuinely felt that I would eventually purchase a vehicle with Direct. Well, it seems that two senior managers, David and Venicio, didn't seem content with the fact that I wasn't purchasing anything that day. First I spoke with David explaining what I already mentioned above - he kept repeating that if I get to test drive the Acura would they have a deal. I said, "no". I'm basically trying to wrap my head around the numbers they were presenting me (over $600 a month for 5.5 year loan - ridiculous considering I have really good credit and I don't know what the rate is they're quoting me). After explaining myself (more than I have to) to David - here comes Venicio. Again I explain myself to Venicio - I keep telling them over and over, "I have to figure out what will work best for me. I'm not purchasing anything today. Only came to test drive. I will return following weekend to test drive the Acura and hopefully will be able to make a decision on which vehicle I will purchase." I don't know how many times I repeated myself that I had to stand up for them to realize I was done with the conversation. I left things off with Rodolfo that I would come in the following weekend (which I did) to check out the Acura. The following day - I'm checking my email and I received alerts that my credit was pulled by Direct Auto Mall... even though I explicitly told them not to and I DIDN'T BUY ANYTHING. With that action alone - none to do with Rodolfo is the reason that I will not be purchasing my next vehicle with Direct Auto Mall. Out of courtesy for Rodolfo, I went back to test drive the Acura, to let him know that my credit was pulled, and that I wasn't going to buy anything. Direct has a great selection of vehicles and Rodolfo was awesome. But be very careful of providing any information before you're 1000% sure you're purchasing to avoid having unnecessary inquiries on your credit report. I work at a bank - so I know that if a client states, "don't pull my credit please until I'm sure i'm proceeding." We honor that - it's a shame...
