GAME STOP IS SCAMMING PPL WITH GIFT CARDS.If I could rate them a zero star I would. My sister purchased a $100 Steam gift card for my daughter and when we tried to redeem it we kept getting an error code. Contacted Steam support and they told us that card had already been validated before. GAMESTOP IS SELLING GIFTCARDS THAT HAVE ALREADY BEEN REDEEMED. I went in store to try to solve problem and guy at register just gave me game stop customer service number. I called while in store and the lady told me that the in store person had to help me since the card was bought in store. He rolled his eyes and was visibly annoyed that he was being asked to do his job. He then contacted customer support himself and they told him the same thing. He told me he couldnāt issue me a refund or an exchange as per their policies. Even though GAMESTOP is at fault for selling me something fraudulent. There were two associates behind the counter, neither assisting guests, and it wasn't very busy. My husband wanted to trade some games and use the trade towards a Nintendo 3DS XL. He was told by the clerk that Gamestop's new policy was to stop doing trades 30 minutes before close and refused to help him. My husband looked at his phone which showed 8:29 and was told by the clerk the computer said 8:30 so he couldn't do it. My husband left very frustrated since he had never heard of this policy before and it wasn't posted. I called another location who confirmed Gamestop does in fact take trade until close. My husband went to another location close by and sure enough they were happy to help him. I'm disappointed that the clerk in this store he originally went to was so disinterested in helping him. I had purchased a game here to try it out and I was told if I wasn't happy with it I had a week to return the game for either a partial refund or store credit. So exactly 1 week goes by and the game wasn't all it was cracked up to be and I had come by. When I try to return it some fat guy (who seemed to be a manager or something) tries telling me I'm not allowed to return it. When I correct him and pointed out that the associate standing right behind him was the one to tell me I was allowed to do this in the first place. He acts like he didn't know and then asks why I didn't like it.
