The store was clean, there were plenty of shopping carts available (of all various sizes), the self-checkouts were all working, & there were also cashier's at multiple checkout lanes available for customers. The employees were okay, they weren't rude or anything, but they don't go out of their way to accommodate you when/if you require assistance. Not unless, or until, you ask an employee. Which, that in itself definitely isn't (& shouldn't be) enough to stop anyone from shopping there. But, since it's always noticable enough during my visits, I felt it worth mentioning. The store is, 95% of the time, well stocked, it's not very often they are completely out of stock of what you're looking for, unless they just don't carry that product. Altho, the store's layout isn't really that great & unless you're a regular shopper there, it can be difficult to find what you want (even tho the place is kept pretty well stocked). There aren't very many self-checkouts so, you'll find yourself waiting in line, all-be-it isn't usually very long but it does happen. You will also usually find at least one cashier running a checkout lane (usually lane one) during slower times & when it's busier, they most times bring in another cashier. Except during holidays, special events, &/or any other high traffic for shopping when they do always have more to accommodate the amount of traffic coming thru. They are very good about keeping up with their shopping carts so they're always available. & They have the usual large sized carts, the smaller half-sized carts, the normal regular hand-baskets, & they also now have small baskets that have a long handle & wheels so you can pull it behind you while shopping instead of having to carry a heavy hand-basket. They are actually really neat & handy & incredible useful. Winn Dixie always has some kind of specials & deals to look for, bcuz they aren't generally on the lower price scale with their stuff. But, as long as you watch for those deals & sales, you can usually make a shopping trip to Winn Dixie with it. Over all, I say they are doing a good job & I would recommend, "Yes stop by Winn Dixie & check out their BO-GO's, ½ off deals, &...
Read moreEveryone who works there no matter what department is always so friendly and helpful. I'm disabled and it takes a few minutes for me to do everything from trying to reach something on a shelf or get something from a bottom shelf I need help with. If they see me and recognize I'm having trouble they always offer to help. The cashier's are all great too. They are very friendly and helpful as well. As I said before it takes me forever to do anything so if they have time they will help me put up my groceries and then. Do my rewards for me and always with such kindness. The deli workers are awesome too. A worker asked me if I was okay the other day. I was having a bad day for pain and such and she kindly asked if I was okay and was there anything she could do to help me. All the departments are great but the deli is extra good. I was frustrated and having a really hard day and she recognized it and made the rest of my day a little better because of her kindness. For me this Winn Dixie is the best in the county. I wish that I had payed attention to her name so I could give her the personal recognition she deserves. I believe that she is average to short height. Brown short to average length hair. This incident occured a month or so ago so I may be completely off. I'm just the kind of person that doesn't pay attention to what others are wearing unless it's new and) looks good I don't)look to see if [their legs are shaved or whatever. I don't look to see what shirt everyone is wearing and don't have any idea if they wore the same shirt yesterday, the day before yesterday or a month ago. I don't care nor is it any of my business. I believe that this wonderful beautiful lady I would think is maybe in her mid fabulous 40. Or late 30s. I'm very bad at guessing ages. I also believe that she has either has battled cancer before and or is ...
Read moreWent to get groceries with my one year-old and it started raining right when we got there, the power went out and we were instructed to check out within 10 minutes. After checking out, there was a crowd around the door. I went to go out the door with my daughter, cart, and few groceries I got and one of the managers stopped me and offered to watch my stuff and daughter while I pulled the car around. Now I NEVER leave my daughter with anybody I don’t know let alone my daughter, my purse, and the diaper bag- but I took her up on it. When I got around with my car, they had an umbrella waiting and had my daughter right inside so she wasn’t getting pelted with the blown wind. She instructed a young man to help me after I had gotten my daughter in the car then went on to help other people. The young man helped me get my bags and my groceries into my car holding the umbrella. I can’t believe how sweet every worker here was in this situation, especially when they have no generators and had to have been thinking about other procedures that need to get done. As I left they were helping others to their car with more umbrellas. Very great management and...
