I have never left a Google review on any business. I don’t want to come across harsh but I felt it was time to share my experience. I’d like to share the good first. I think Dr. Blackledge is willing to go above and beyond for his patients. If something goes wrong it does seem that he is willing to make it right. He came in on a Sunday for a revision surgery. In 12/21 I had a Mini Facelift and Rhinoplasty. The healing process was great. I followed instructions very carefully. The procedures seemed to go smooth. It was done under local anesthesia. I was given 2 pills to relax me. I do feel he was rushed. I was in and out in less than 45 mins. There was a Sales Rep lunch about to happen. The pills did not make me sleep until shortly after my spouse picked me up. We had a 2.5 hour drive back to Biloxi, MS. I don’t remember anything. I don’t even remember how I got into the house. Let me just say, local anesthesia when getting a facelift and rhinoplasty is not for the weak. There was no pain but you can hear the cutting and feel air when it hits open flesh. That’s the best way I can describe it. I was supposed to have lipo under the chin and a prominent jawline. I didn’t have either. I received a cheek lift. He told me he went in from the incisions near my ear. I knew that wasn’t the truth. I was awake. I’ve had lipo before. I had to go back for revision on my nose and the lipo and buccal fat removal. At that appointment he did the lipo under the chin and pulled less than a dime size of fat under my chin and told me it was my buccal fat. I’ve done enough research to know that buccal fat is removed from the inside of your mouth. I knew better but didn’t speak up. My face looks the same now. I have lost 30lbs and I specifically asked if I lost weight would it affect my face. He said no. I encouraged you to lose the weight before getting a lift. I have lived my entire life self conscious of my nose. Now I have a hole in the end of it that will need to be repaired. The first problem (that I went back for once) was a piece of my nose or something that looks like permanent booger. Sorry, that’s the best I can describe it. I’m not sure what he did to it during the repair. He pushed on it and put a bandage on it. I took it off and it was still there. At this point I’m so aggravated with the situation I just let it go. Fast forward to about 6 months later and I formed a red dot that resembled a pimple. It took a while to get a “head” on it. I don’t pick my skin so I just kept covering it. Finally a head formed, popped and left a permanent hole. A stitch was exposed. It is an internal stitch. It is attached to the tip and if I cut it, the end of my nose will fall. I am waiting for it to give any moment now. I’ve lived like this for a year. I have been using SPFX makeup to cover the hole. I am waiting to have some second opinions. With the new economy crisis I haven’t been able to save for another surgery. Not only do I have to save for the survey itself, I have to save for the time off from work. He was made aware and I sent him pics. He wanted to look at it in person. He was going to travel to where I am to take a look but had to reschedule twice. I told him not to worry about it. I feel it’s a waste of his time. I have no trust at this point. I plan to have the full surgery when I’m able. I’ve waited so long to review because I wanted plenty of time to heal. Not everyone has 7k laying around. I had to save for this. It’s been heartbreaking to be honest. He is reasonably priced. His work looked good online. So I gamb I saw where he is promoting a “deep plane facelift.” A deep plane facelift is the move of muscle and nerves. Not just the skin. This can’t be done under a local anesthesia. It is a lengthy surgery. When I saw that, I felt I had to leave a review. I don’t want someone to go through the unfortunate events I’ve...
Read moreI have nothing but good things to say about this clinic and Dr. Blackledge. It’s a beautiful location and I was treated with kindness the entire time I was there. If you can’t like Dr. Blackledge, then you can’t like anyone. He has the biggest and sweetest personality ever. You will feel like you have known him for years when you meet him.
I am going to share my story/visit…Dr. Blackledge is very honest and sincere. He’s not gonna do something for you or give you something and take your money “just because” you think you want it or need it…Because of this, I left with my pouty face on.
I went in because I needed some Botox..Injections..fillers, whatever to make me feel pretty. My areas of concern were my eyes, lips and forehead.
He was very professional and straightforward with me when he told me that he WAS NOT going to “fill” around my eyes because I DID NOT need filler/injections (whatever it is around the eyes)…then explained why it would not fix my complaint/problem and that it would be a waste of money… because if by some miracle it helped even a little…the results would not last more than a week.
I knew exactly what he was talking about. The last time I had any injections/fillers was in 2017. I was living in Alabama and a week after I went to see my cosmetic doctor in Montgomery, I was driving to MS and noticed that my right eye looked wonky. I called my Montgomery doctor and of course they told me to come back in. The thing is, I planned to stay in MS for two weeks. The more i looked at it, the worse it looked…. I made an appointment with a friend (who was along my route) to see if he could help. He told me then, that eventually I would have to have a procedure done because the area will get worse and it will have to be corrected… He was able to fix “that area” that day.
I had “little pouches” showing up under my eyes that wasn’t “bags” and is genetic/hereditary….that are now not so little. I think I have had a total of 5 doctors tell me this over the years, including my eye doctor. I guess I just put it away in the back of my mind.
I wanted Botox in my forehead and something to help with the few wrinkles around my mouth. I was very honest when I told him that I DID NOT WANT A “SHADOW MUSTACHE” on my top lip because it took 5 years for the last one to go away.
Needless to say that I left my appointment with only Botox in my forehead, and a quote for my little under eye procedure. He assured me that I would look 15 years younger and would never regret it. I talked to his receptionist about it on my way out, and she told me that everyone that has it done absolutely loves it.
So, i highly recommend Dr. Blackledge and his staff for all of your facial needs. I am very excited to say that I will be having my procedure...
Read moreOne year post-op, and I look just like I did before. My neck lift was a complete failure. Fred Blackledge attempted to fix it again, but now, four months after that surgery, I have a deformed-looking neck and worse scarring. I had a consultation with a plastic surgeon who told me it’s very unlikely that I had a deep plane lift. Blackledge is now ignoring several of us because we requested compensation. This affects us not only financially but also emotionally. Do your research. Realize that most of his reviews are not from his "facelifts". They are now asking for people to leave good reviews and giving them discounts to do it. Try to find patients that are at least 3-5yrs post op, you most likely won't be able to find them. Also, don't go by results that are only weeks post op, most of us that had issues were several months out. Listen to your intuition! It will try to warn you when you are with him. So many of us ignored the red flags. Going to women's hotels alone to check up on them, but calls it housecalls. Constant revisions. One hour face lift, neck lift, and upper bleph is a rush job. Watch videos to see how extensive a real deep plane is and how long it really takes. Let's pretend that he is actually doing a deep plane on the face and neck in under an hour, there are way too many nerves in the face to risk a fast procedure. Face and neck combined usually take 2-4hrs depending on the surgeon. Don't be cheap with your face. One day this will all...
