I've tried to stay away from this store as much as possible but the last time I went was the last straw. I walked in and was immediately "greeted" by some store employee I looked around for the games I wanted picked up the cases and went up to the counter to pay for the games. They didn't have the game I was there for but had the display case out on the shelf. They then pushed and pushed me to buy it new for $45 I was there only willing to spend the pre owned price of $30 they then told me that I could but the older edition of it for $22. I refused because the dlc for the witcher 3:wild hunt is supposed to be really good. She rung me up for the 2nd game (Metal gear solid V the phantom pain) and handed me the bag. I walked out and into my car where I checked the case to make sure the game was there and the right game (whenever I went there before and bought a game they would give me the wrong game. 12 times.) I found out there was NO GAME in the effing case. I walked back in and talked to the other employee who gave me the game and I went home. It wouldn't be so bad if they were not trying to get me to pre order or join the pointless power rewards membership. The worst part of this entire thing is it wasn't a new employee there for the first time, it was the assistant manager who has been there for a while, she might not have recognized me but I recognized her (she constantly tried to get me to pre order kingdom hearts 3 and I told her there was no point in pre orders what so ever) she needs to be fired and gamestop needs to stop with the we can order it and ship it to you at your house BS. You know who else can order it and ship it to my house? Amazon. They don't even try to get me to pre order or join amazon prime. They even have lower prices that don't vary from store to store. Eff this store and eff...
Read moreIf you go in looking for a specific game, chances are they don't have it but say they can order it. The last time I was in there they didn't have a good selection of games but I was there to buy an ebay giftcard so I could bid on a ps3 game. The lady at the counter looked right at it and after trying to scan it looked at me and said "I can't sell giftcards" now how you can't scan the barcode on the back and enter in the amount I want on it is beyond me. Somehow it came up that I was looking for lollipop chainsaw on the ps3 and she said that she could order it in. (You can't, it's unavailable on the gamestop site and don't tell me it restocks frequently, the north American version is impossible to find for the ps3 but not on the Xbox 360) after at least 10 bad experiences with this store over however long its been there I'm officially done with gamestop not having games or competent employees. Ever since then I've been going to walmart. It's a little hassle to find an employee there to unlock the games from the display case but over all they're nicer, seem to know what they're doing, and have...
Read moreI purchased a PS5 shortly before Christmas, 2 days later the system began overheating. I went back to the store looking to get my money back. Because it was an open box they refused, however did not have another system on the spot to give me. My only option was to have a new system shipped to my house. Long story short it's been two and a half weeks and I still have not gotten the system. I asked the store if I would be able to return the new system coming in once it arrives. I was told no. When I asked for a number for corporate I was laughed at and told good luck trying to get someone to pick up the phone as their corporate offices are overseas. My honest and sincere advice is... go to Best buy, Walmart, Target etc ... Those companies are dedicated to customer satisfaction and honor their policies. Trust me when I tell you GameStop does not. Never in my life have I had such a bad experience like I am currently living with GameStop right now!!! Shame on you GameStop for treating customers the way they do. I cannot wait for this nightmare...
