Buck, The redheaded store manager up here, is kind of a jerk, and has been for years. First problem was when I tried to return a brand new game I just purchased because it was for the wrong console and he tried to give me the resale credit value when I had literally just walked out of the store no less than 30 minutes prior. I had to go to a another GameStop at Debbie Lane/287, where they actually gave a hoot about their customers.
The second time was today, when I went in to trade a PS5 game. I showed him an ID, which was apparently expired, and he made some comment about how heâs doing me a favor and just ignore the expiration date on my ID, which I was unaware of. I thought he was speaking on my rewards membership, so I ignored it initially. Then he proceeded to try and sell me a renewal to their rewards program, which I had no interest in due to the fact the app is outdated and that the PowerPoints reward program they have associated with it is broken. He tried to insist that it had somehow been magically fixed with no detail or context provided, and I repeatedly kept telling him no. I get that itâs his job, but then he proceeded to ask what was wrong with me because of my complete disinterest in his pitch. Annoyed that I even had to deal with this level of nonsense just to buy a video game, I had to spell out for him why I was not interested, and he kept repeating that he was doing me a favor and that I needed to show him respect because he ignored the expiration date on my ID. With that, I proceeded to pull out my other state ID and show it to him since he kept making a stink about it, which made him ask if I wanted him to back out of the whole trade and try again with that ID. I told him that was on him. He proceeded with the trade with the initial ID. I literally just came in because somebody gave me a gift card and I wanted to get Armored Core 6. The guy is just a jerk and a corporate shill. Because of his attitude, I will never be coming back to GameStop at any location. Customer service like him is why I purchased my games online.
Not only that, but then the staff or manager has the balls to make fake reviews with racist names criticizing their own customers While leaving their location a five star review. What a joke. Take the time to drive down to the location off of...
Read moreMy husband and I recently went in to GameStop on Saturday March 15,2025 we arrived there earlier in the day and the employee Edgar was very nice and told us to come back at five as they were going to sell the pokeman 151 booster cards so we came back at 4:00 to wait for them to sell the pokeman 151 booster cards, we waited a whole hour inside, all for the female employee to be so rude and disrespectful it was my husbands turn to purchase the cards and she made a scene in front of everyone she proceeded to ask if we bought cards prior and we said yes we did, note it was different card set and at a different location. She proceeded to say âdeadass your doneâ and with disbelief with the language and the unprofessional attitude we asked what do you mean and she kept saying you should of listened earlier deadass your done. This is something that needs to be addressed as no one should have that type of attitude or language towards a customer not only does it reflect bad on the type of person she is but it also reflects the store and their employees. No one should ever be spoken to in that way or treated in such of manor of disrespect in front of a group of people. I regret not asking for her name, but as a store the other employee should of taken over and corrected her. Later to find out that this location was not supposed to sell packs in the morning and then again in the afternoon a manger from another location called cooperate, he stated that their are rules and regulations and this store went against it and cooperate will be contacting them as to the reason why they were selling these in...
Read moreMy ex and I waited in line for the XBox series X presale at this location. We arrived at the store the around 11 pm on the 21st. We were the only people there for almost 6 hours. When the manager came out around 9 am the next day he said we were together so we can only get one. We live in separate residence and were trying to get our kids one for each house. Trying to explain this to the manager without airing our personal business to a line of strangers. The manger didnât care and gave our presale to someone that showed up at 8:30 that morning. The manager could have handled the situation in a professional manner. He could have asked if we could provide proof of separate residences. In a world of online bills we could have shown proof of utilities in our individual names at different address. He didnât give us a chance to provide any information just a nope you get one. We made the choice to go together for safety reasons. I didnât want to be alone all night long. The manager was apologetic saying itâs one per household but we are no longer one household. After waiting that long he could have actually listened to us and given us the chance to prove our case instead of making a bs...
