I purchased two PS5 controllers at this store and didn’t need one. I went to the store with the receipt, well within the return period, and the controller in unopened packaging in perfect condition. I followed the return policy. I was told that even though all of the info was on the receipt, because their scanner wouldn’t scan the code (the employee said their thermal printer didn’t print the receipt dark enough) they couldn’t accept the return. It was fine that my 8year old more than 'gently' used his items; I understand that and understand that you can't resell damaged items. What I don't understand is why the cashier wasn't real nice about it nor was she overly nice when I asked for a controller. This same guy is often working when my wife brings my sons into the store to browse with their allowance, and my wife says that he is always friendly and goes out of his way to be helpful, even looking up answers on his own phone when my kids have questions about games.
