I preordered my Nintendo switch at this location. I planned on picking up my new console on Monday, as I had to work all weekend and it was inconvenient for me to pick it up any earlier.
I was informed by a friend that GameStop planned to sell every preordered console that wasn't picked up by Saturday on a first come first serve basis stsrting Sunday.
So I would have shown up on Monday to pickup my PREORDERED console, only to be told it was no longer in stock? That is unacceptable.
So I picked up my console today (Friday) despite my inconvenience, and I heard the employee tell a customer on the phone that they were out of switch consoles today, but to call back Sunday because they'll be selling unclaimed preorders on a first come first serve basis.
At that moment I decided to never make another purchase from GameStop (outside of the preorder I had already committed to).
I payed for my console and when I declined the employees offer to sell me a game, he began to ask questions like: " you're going to buy a console without buying any games?". " What are you going to play?" "Why even buy a console if you have no games for it?".
There was another customer in line behind me who was informing me about the wonders of amiibos and all the things you could get in game from them. But I had already made my decision not to support this store anymore than what I had agreed to do.
With business practices like these, I won't be giving GameStop anymore...

He was extremely patient with my questions & did a search for what I wanted. He pointed me in the direction of waiting for a better deal, even offering to let me know the next day if there'd been any changes. Considering I had just missed him when I attempted to call the next day, I visited the store Monday & he was just as helpful in person. He called multiple stores to find what I was looking for again. Once he got in touch with a store who had it, he got them to agree to sending it to this location so I would not have to pick it up (big thanks to Eric from sending store as well). The sales associate Raven didn't greet the gentleman and her eyes followed him his entire visit. Once the gentleman finnaly made his purchase which he still had not been greeted by the associate, he was about to depart the store as he stopped and looked at a rack on his way out. The sales associate directed her eyes to him once again. With being starred at that much the gentleman said you know I'm not here to steal anything right. I truly understood his stance because I could only imagine how uncomfortable it made him feel being starred at as it did me. The associate immediately got defensive and shouted "get out of my store".
