I’ve had wonderful experiences with my SAs across luxury boutiques in Short Hills, including Hermès and Chanel, but my visit to VCA was shockingly disappointing. I stopped by to explore potential push presents and was appalled by the lack of service from Bella. She barely acknowledged me when I walked in, and after browsing aimlessly, I had to initiate asking for help—only to be met with a curt, “What kind of help?”
While I was discussing my recent VCA purchase my husband purchased for me that needed resizing and inquiring about necklaces and a ring, Bella’s demeanor was so cold and disengaged that it made me uncomfortable. Despite being ready to purchase a ring, I had no desire to proceed with someone who showed no warmth or effort in assisting me. I even mentioned that this would be a push present and that I was looking to build a relationship with an SA, yet she never offered a business card, any water (even though I was visibly pregnant and winded from walking), and remained standoffish the entire time.
I truly hope this is not representative of VCA’s service culture. Luxury shopping should be an enjoyable and personal experience, and this visit left such a negative impression that I chose to take my...
Read moreI would like to praise the store manager Nick Stahl at Van Cleef of the Short Hills Mall location! I own a Malachite Alhambra bracelet, which has been a thorn in my side since day one. I've had to replace the stones now for the 2nd time. I sent it to the jeweler yet again because another stone broke. They sent it out to have a "thorough analysis" done, deeming the stones pass their approval to have you spend $1,225 to replace all 5 when i only needed one replaced. Their policy is to replace ALL or NONE. Meaning, the stones can dull over time due to regular wear and tear; that's unacceptable to the jewelers eye. So, I was left with the possibility of having to walk around with a damaged bracelet or come out my pocket almost $1,300 bucks for the 2nd time in 2 years, due to their very unfair "policy". Nick Stahl saved the day as he got involved and decided to eat the entire cost to replace all the stones on their dime. He apologized profusely. He's extremely professional and a kind hearted man!!! Read moreDo not go to this location. They ordered an item for me saying it was backordered. At home the same day, I saw online the item could be delivered to my home two days later. Then when the physical store finally received the item 9 days later, they did not send it to my home. After I called for an update, they promised to send that same day. But then they missed the fedex cut off (supposedly). Then they agreed to just refund me, but asked for a photo of my credit card to be texted to the sales associate (um, no). Then they called back five minutes later (after I ordered online for next day delivery) and said -oops! we can send it today and have it to you tomorrow! Nope. Never ever again. 11 phone calls total with them today. After I filed credit card dispute, they asked me to close the dispute or they could not credit me (just one more lie - chase reserve customer service told me in no uncertain terms to keep the dispute open until chase assures the funds are credited).
