I don't know why but whenever I try to call this GameStop, I'm greeted by the voice recorded "press 1 to speak to a customer service representative... our customer service representatives are busy assisting other customers, call back in a few minutes." This has been going on for over a year (this store either doesn't have enough workers or the workers are refusing to answer the phone). It's especially frustrating when their location is the most convenient for me, but they suck at picking up the phone to let me know whether they have the product Im looking for in stock. It forces me to go to Atlantic Mall and purchase the products from Target or Best Buy.
Yesterday, May 5th, 2017 I called over 25 times between 2:30pm-3:45pm to ask whether they had a PS4 Pro. It was a gigantic waste of time considering I was unable to get through at any point and was told by the voice recording to "call back in a few minutes". This is the last straw for me regarding this location and GameStop in general. I will be purchasing games from Target or Best Buy because they're at least reliable and their customer service is...
Read moreGamestop AS USUAL is trash. Sold me a "NEW" Street Fighter 6 game with NO Plastic wrap around the box, in a paper sleeve, in other words USED!! And I only went there because the one by me was sold out. Why do I mention that? Because for TWO DAYS that Gamestop wouldn't answer their phone when I called to ask if they had the game. When I go to the store and complain, apparently the phone was one MUTE due to "the last guy on shift." This is literally why I DON'T shop at Gamestop. Use amazon. Use ANYTHING else. Gamestop is pure trash and should have died out ages ago. Selling used games for like $5 off from new. Buying games from customers for cheap and selling them triple the price. Adding on items to your purchases you didn't ask for!!! Yes! It almost happened to my friend except I was there to catch it. DON'T SHOP...
Read moreArriving early for a highly anticipated GameStop release, only to find out that just seven items are available for purchase, is beyond frustrating. That’s exactly what happened at the Fulton Street location—despite being near the front of the line, most customers walked away empty-handed.
A similar situation unfolded at the Atlantic Center location, where only three items were available. It’s hard not to question what’s really going on. Whether employees are keeping stock for themselves or favoring resellers, the lack of transparency is unacceptable.
With the growing popularity of Pokémon products, corporate needs to step in and ensure fairer distribution practices. Customers shouldn’t have to deal with this kind of inconsistency and frustration just to buy a product at...
